DT880 replacement parts
Hey guys, so after a year + of constant use (3+ hours a day, every day) my dt880s are slowly wearing out Not so much the pads, but the headband. I've used the headphones after coming out of the shower, etc and my hair has been wet. I think that's caused some faster degradation of the band...- liamlw

I'd like to add, the DT880s are so much better for music The games also sound better, you just don't get as good positonal audio in them.- liamlw

Just thought i'd add my 2c here. Having upgraded from AD700s to DT880s the only negative thing I will say about the DT880s is, the AD700s were better for positional sound in games. This may be because of the less bass, I do not know but when using AD700s it was easier to pin point enemies.- liamlw

Looking for ideal gaming/trance cans
I have the same cfg as you. Just metal instead of trance \m/ I run Dt880s off the prelude fine, it def has enough volume power easily. These cans are very good for gaming, and are very nice for music too(crap on my old ad700s but hey - expected isn't it?) even though most people recommend an...- liamlw

CMSS-3d Headphones and music
for music, run audio creation mode with 'bit-matched playback' ticket. also run 2.1/2.0 speaker mode, instead of headphones. these gave me the best results with x-fi music, and now my prelude- liamlw

The AD700s are better than the HD555s are don't cost that much more, so get those. X-fi will drive them fine.- liamlw
