This guy is selling them - had 19 yesterday down to 14 today! Edit: looks like he has 8 left if my algebra still works.

The DT880 has much mojo and I've been waiting for a deal on them so will probably bite.

I do have a question though, when he says "latest model" - what model might that be? I really don't want the coiled cord one.

i think the latest model is 2005 just like dt990 2005. by the look of the picture on that page, it does look like the 2005 model.
for that price, i would buy one if i didnt have dt990.

Good deal but you also need a good amp to really get the best out of these. Even a good solid portable like Hornet can handle it but a amp for sure

200 USD are pretty good for the DT 880. Got my pair just a couple of weeks ago from amazon for around 215-220 USD shipped from iNet distrubutors. It got to me in less than three days (although KS isn't far from NE). I also had the additional bonus of having amazon gift cards from Christmas (thank you relatives for not knowing what to get me).

Now, only to buy an amp.

EDIT: I'm sure they mean the 2005 edition of DT 880. If they have a picture, it's the one with rounded cups, not flat cups.

Hey thanks all, I'm going for it. I'm getting a Headsix so we'll see how that does for portable (might be a stretch ...) and I'll use it on my home system too.

And oop found this thread with pics. Going to also guess that they are probably the regular 2005 Edition.

Yeah I bought from him. Good buy, nothing went wrong but he added $20 USD to the shipping him self.

Anyways, that's the noncoiled version, not the Pro version (he's selling that one too for the same price if you want that one instead).
