Want to invest in making my computer a fully dedicated source
I was planning on dedicating one of the computers to audio recording, I'm well aware that a lot of system processes, automatic functions and programs (excess or not) interfere with recording. So this is something I've been wanting to do for awhile, have just been waiting for computer parts &...- johnbon

Want to invest in making my computer a fully dedicated source
It's probably been almost or about a year since I've used my home CD player, and I think I've been using my computer 100% of the time now for everything from headphones to speakers to transferring to my old iriver mp3 player. I've just sold my speakers now and have nothing but my longtime...- johnbon

I am about to buy a zune later today unless YOU can stop me
I've got to hop in here out of nowhere and find out what all the fuss is about here. It's my brief impression that the Zune is supposed to be a player with heavy 'Plays For Sure' implementation and basically is being marketed as the mp3 player for those who buy mp3s off the net. What worries...- johnbon

best 4 gig out there!!
Anyone know if the clix2 is going to be operated with side touch buttons like the clix? I am not that informed on it, but my impression of the clix (and clix2) is that you have to wear them around your neck because there is no hold button and you can't have random things touching the sides...- johnbon

iRiver E10 transfer mode?
I just stumbled across this player for the first time today, it looks good but I can't find anything about the transfer mode for putting music onto it (I don't care about any other media). Is it drag-and-drop (MTS or whatever it's called) or do you have to use a media player to transfer songs...- johnbon

DAP vs. Turntable?
I didn't read any of this, nor do I want to because I'm sure I've seen it all before. To put it bluntly: CD, no matter how good your system or the recording is, is unable to offer the depth of sound that can be produced from a needle reading directly into the grooves of a vinyl. Not only has...- johnbon

WMA 192 equates to what in Mp3?
WMA holds twice the bitrate capacity of mp3 So whatever your listening at, it's double that.- johnbon

Iriver X20 = cracker toy
Seriously eh? I was just about to get one of these until I read this. Is this set in stone or is it like the annoying little joysticks on the older models, where you just have to get used to them after awhile? Because there really isn't much else out there.- johnbon

COWON D2 - Any one have one yet?
Can anyone tell me how this player is for portable use (music only) on the go? Everything looks great but the touch screen concerns me, is there 'play, stop, next/back' buttons on the sides so you can use it as an mp3player in your pocket without having to take it out and look at it? Also...- johnbon

Creative Zen Micro Replacement
Does the Cowon d2 have actual buttons on the side so you can use it without taking it out of your pocket? It looks like a great player but the touch screen concerns me for carefree use on the go.- johnbon
