Ok, so had my black player for a couple of weeks now...love the little guy!...no hissing, no cracks (hope i'm not jinxing myself!)....Had a question: Has anyone experience any negative fallouts from tampering with the volume...y'know doing the volume override, so that the player is louder...- jamiep

Martin, will have to get back to you on that one as am not in a very quiet environ at the mo...but yeah so far i have not heard any noise outside of when the player is booting up, and occasionally when it is not playing but i am flicking around tracks- jamiep

In replying to the question of Hiss...just bought and HD5 couple of days ago, and have listened to it fairly extensively....the only time i hear a "hiss" is when i first turn the player on and it is booting up...it is less of a hiss, and more of an electronic static that i hear...but aside from...- jamiep

Ok, so I am pondering about getting one of these...well either this or the Sony NW-HD5 when it comes out in the US. I currently use SonicStage, and have a few complaints, but not as many as some others do with it...anyway, was wondering what software i would have to switch to to use the x5...- jamiep

Ok, so I am keen to get a NW-HD5, and with still no word on a US release date, i am thinking about buying one off ebay that gets shipped from Japan. Has anyone had any experience with this kind of thing? Will it all come in Japanese and give me all sorts of problems? ...would i unquestionably be...- jamiep
