++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum

Can someone recommend a pair of closed cans good for music and movies in the sub 100$ region. Was thinking about Sennheiser HD449 or something similar and wondering if there' something better for the money. Would be great if it were widely available.

    Best in-ear silicone/rubber buds for under $40?

Soundmagic E30 or E10. Miles better than any cheap Sennheiser or Panasonic.

    Xears Thread (formerly TD III)

Is it just me or Thomas seems to have gone a bit underground? I've sent a pair back for a refund 3 weeks ago and no word till now. Reading this thread he seemed like a stand up guy.

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

I'm also wondering how high will the GR-06 score on the joker SQ scale. If they are over 8 there's no doubt its a great buy.

A question for users or owners of Sennheiser IE6: how much would you say they are really worth relative to sound quality? I can buy them locally for around 100$ and I'm wondering if they are worth it or should I look elsewhere. I'm not really a bass lover. :)

    $6 Panasonic RP-HJE120. Surprisingly usable

I have an old pair of HNJ200 and I can honestly say they are pure crap. Finding hidden treasures between the low end stuff is mostly a miss occupation. I'm gonna stick to verified stuff from now on.

    IEM's on a sub 100$ budget

Glad I could be of assistance. Make sure you test them thoroughly because there have been reports of faulty ones. For the money any of the higher end Xears model is a steal at this price.

    IEM's on a sub 100$ budget

Nothing personal against the pioneers just I think they're too expansive for what they are. The Ro iem market is quite narrow and the only half decent deal I can think of are the Philips SHE3570, the same thing as the SHE3580, which go for 15 euros.   I'm also contemplating my next purchase...

    IEM's on a sub 100$ budget

You've let yourself become a victim of internet folklore. I have over 10 orders from HK, China or US ebay sellers and it never took more than 2 weeks, usually 9 to 10 days,  to get my order even on untracked items. On a side note I'm also from ro and I have never payed extra taxes. :)  ...

    IEM's on a sub 100$ budget

Why don't you just get an ebay account and that way you can liberate yourself from local dealers and their petty offer. Any of the iems you listed will most probably be eaten alive by any decent product in that price range, something like the A151 for 55$ shipped if you like a balanced sound, or...

Review: Sunrise Xcited and Xcape Impressive Edition

Can some of the early adopters report back on durability issues?   I'm still trying to decide on the best option for me under 100$ shipped. I'm more into classic rock, indie, blues and some vocal and I'll be using them on a rockboxed ipod nano. The xcape ie looks like a very good option but...

Best Over All Earphones for under $40?

E10 is also a good option at 35$ shipped from focal price.

First of all great job. Secondly I'm wondering if you took the vsonic GR06 for a quick spin and what are your initial thoughts. I'm wondering if they are worth the trouble or should I find something extra for the RE0.

WARNING: Fake IE8s! Comparison pictures included!!

They could be real if somehow the seller robbed a store or hijacked a shipment. Its a know fact that most high end products don't cost that much to manufacture in the later stages of their commercial cycle but still this is a too good to be true deal. The problem is that some fakes are very good...

How can i make my Bose ie2's sound better?

I'm using the latest version right now and I think its miles away from anything available on the market especially when playing good quality flacs.    The interface might not be top notch but as far as sound quality its well worth the niggles.
