Beyerdynamic DT 1350 Unamped
Yes, Some of us actually like and own the Zune HD. I have the 64Gb version and it puts out some very nice sound (Wolfson DAC). I usually listen w/o an amp but if I am using a harder to drive set of cans I use a P-51 amp. Works for me- Greymoor

First listening impressions/reviews of Q1 2009 Purity Audio Kicas and Caliente Group buy
OK here is some pictures. Sorry about the lighting but it is raining outside and my house is a cave as far as light is concerned. So here goes . . . The red is a bit nicer in person but this will give you an idea.- Greymoor

First listening impressions/reviews of Q1 2009 Purity Audio Kicas and Caliente Group buy
Oqvist - I am sorry!! I had caught a wicked cold and all thoughts of listening to music and such had fled my head, which felt like the size of a blimp. I did not even listen to music because everything sounded terrible with my head so plugged up. I promise to get some pics uploaded. I have...- Greymoor

First listening impressions/reviews of Q1 2009 Purity Audio Kicas and Caliente Group buy
This is just a quick note to let the group buyers know that my Red Caliente has arrived. Right out of the box it sounded very nice. The burn in has now commenced. I took a quick snapshot of it. pardon the lackluster quality.- Greymoor

AT&T to sell iPhone without contract...
Apple's lock in with AT&T is why I do not have one. It is foolish to exclude a large section of the customer base. But it is their business to run . . .- Greymoor

Kindle - Fi
I have thought about getting one for a while but the Kindle 1 at that price just did not do it for me. With the release of the Kindle 2 I have been seriously considering picking one up. The ease of buying books could lead to further depletion of the wallet- Greymoor

Are expensive cables silly squiggly snakes? Ahhh! Mine eyes!
One of the things I find strange is with all the money spent on these cables the internal hook up wire on most amps is just that . . . hook up copper wire. No braided magic, no twisted leetness, Just plain wire. Though I have seen amps with some nice wiring internally. I am of the camp...- Greymoor

ESW9 Redux
I use a Zune 8 > P-51 Mustang > ESW9 as my away from home setup. The ESW9s have nowhere near the isolation of the IEMs but I really like the sound. The ESW9s have a much fuller sound than my ER6s. While listening to Pandora Radio at work on the little Dell sound bar, (They sound ok but we...- Greymoor

sexy new 21:9 widescreen HDTV!
Since I watch almost no TV programming at all this would be great for those of us who mainly watch movies. It would be great to have the movie fill the screen and not have those black bars at the top and bottom. I like the idea of the 2.34:1 format.- Greymoor

Sennheiser HD800: Spray Painted Plastic and the New Acid-Washed Jeans.
I would love to find a tread that actually had people who have at least touched a pair of these cans before complaining about them. Maybe by May/June enough people will have received theirs and have had time to give a good long listen. Then maybe we can read some real pro-con reviews with...- Greymoor

esw9 versus esw10 (amateur review)
My ESW9's are just passing the 120 hour point and they sound very very nice. These are definitely supra aural unless you have very small ears. Thus I can only wear them a couple of hours before the ol ears need a break.- Greymoor

REVIEW: Purity Audio K.I.C.A.S. Caliente home headphone amp - updated with comments on regular KICAS
hehe iGig, I am putting together my first home headphone rig which will comprise of this . . . Denon UD-M31 > BJC Optical cable > DacMagic > Vampire Wire SPC IC > Caliente > HD650 So the amp is the last piece of the puzzle so to speak. I am told that patience is a virtue and waiting builds...- Greymoor
