Guys I found out that whenever you have the bad battery level indication after charging up the device, you don't need to power it off and back on for it to show the correct level. All you need to do is to plug the device into the charger for one second so that the battery level indicator bars...

I did charge the device and after unplugging it from the charger, the battery indicator was still stuck at half depleted. Had to reset the device for it to show the battery was fully charged so the issue persists. Can it be fixed with another firmware update?

I have the same exact issues as you on my unit.

It would help if you would describe your daily usage ie. if you're keeping the device in your pocket with lint and debris or some other way. If it's the former the knob is probably filled with some kind of debris. Usually when a knob acts up like this you can use a bit of isopropyl alcohol 99%...

Without a proper A/B switcher, proper dB matching and a blindfold a comparison between sources is as good as useless. I did this once on my friend, an avid audiophile, told him that he's gonna listen to two products, both of which were rather expensive, but one was to be a sort of "cheapified"...

I am still having issues with the player while I use it plugged in. For example I start playing a folder, then plug the device to the adapter and once the folder finishes playing, the device (I assume) goes into the standby mode. Once in standby mode, a huge battery icon shows up on the screen...

But how would that explain the player reverting back to the album it played even after hours of listening to some other albums? What causes that particular thing? Being plugged in or what?

I am usually charging the device while it is in standby mode (it was on by default and that's how I use it). I do not charge it while it's in use.

It is possible to view folders without scanning the SD card. I prefer to use folders as well so scanning isn't crucial for me, but I did scan my 10k files and the scan finished in a matter of minutes so no biggie. My FW is 1.2, any other users can comment on theirs?

Yes, you can. I used some after market cables with thick plugs, all good. One little quip, the USB plug doesn't seem to be plugged in all the way, hence it sticks out a bit. It's mostly visual, shouldn't really ruin the user experience.

Sound-wise I don't think source has any impact on the playback, really. In this particular comparison between ZX300 and M0Pro it is more interesting to compare the UX between those two devices. Form factor, battery life and so on and so forth. One interesting advantage that the new dacs have is...
