I work as a tech writer for a company that makes a very small, high speed thermal printer for mailing, packaging, and other applications. The only PROBLEM with that is I am in school for Public Affairs, specifically focusing on modern politics and ethics... So yeah, I have lots of work...

I use the Shure SE 310, and I will say it is wonderful IMHO. They also have the benefit of being able to be used ear wrapped OR directly into the ear- I use them like that at work, when I know that somebody may tap me on the shoulder (no money for the push to hear yet)... So, consider...

Here is my humble rig- for ultra portable, replace the Beyer's with SE 310's and the 4th Gen ipod with a nano.

Yeah, I'm okay. Dentist visit turned into ambulance ride turned into 5 nights in the local observing room. But anyways... thanks! I'm loving the rig so far.

Thanks for your comments everyone- I haven't responded due to recent hospital stay (long story, I'm fine), but here is the rig in it's current form! I would love to say final, but we all know that it's very rare to see a final rig on Head-Fi.

I figured it was worth putting a paycheck into it, instead of doing minor upgrades that I would need to sell back each time I want to get something else.

I went and spent money. Bah. Well, I have been on Head-Fi for... oh, about a month now, and I have gathered myself a rig. A month ago, I owned a pair of Shure E2c's, and ipod nano (first gen), and a 4th gen ipod. Yeah. Well, I haven't changed my sources, but other than that...

Yeah... In other words, good news... but nothing that will send people running to the stores. Whenever they do a keynote without a hardware update, people seem to get realllllly pissy.

So, you think on High Gain it could power a Beyerdynamic DT770 or DT880 decently?

I was actually looking at this to run my SE310's and my Sennheiser HD 540 II's I just found - I figured it could work both. Do you think this would be a good amp for my first amp, the best of both worlds kinda thing?

I would love to, but I'm back to school on August 11th for RA training. That, and I have a hard time finding a car anyways- but who knows. I hope something gets setup, and I hope I can come!
