PCI version of Emu 0404?
I'd love my 0404 if it worked with foobar2000/Windows Vista better. Using ASIO output, the drivers crash pretty regularly, usually when I advance to the next track. Windows Vista (x64) throws up a DEP error in CTASIO. There is no known fix, and Creative aren't exactly prioritizing fixing this...- Drewpy

Hooking up a 1.8 drive via IDE
I've never seen an IDE cable with a twist in it. You definitely shouldn't use it. Floppy drive cables have twists in them. A quick google also shows that Toshiba 1.8" drive's ZIF connectors are wired differently than other 1.8" drives, make sure you get the correct adapter. The USB adapter...- Drewpy

Will you rebuy your movie/TV collection in HD?
I can't see myself rebuying many titles in HD, exceptions for LoTR and a few others. However, I absolutely refuse to spend a single penny on anything HD until there is a firm winner (ie: somebody is going to have to throw in the towel) in this ridiculous "HD war". And if one is never...- Drewpy

Help! Spoiled by Windows Vista!
In WinXP if you are not using ASIO or KS output you are not bypassing the Windows kmixer. This will cause all your audio to be resampled to 48kHz using kmixer's inferior algorithms, and may be the cause of the difference you are hearing. KS is supposed to cut off all other programs (including...- Drewpy

Post your computer specs!~
Put this together a couple weeks ago. Waiting on cheap Penryn quad cores to become available, hence the cheap processor that currently lives in the system. The overclock was acheived with stock cooling and voltages. CPU: E2140 @ 3.0GHz RAM: 4x1GB OCZ Platinum MOBO: Abit IP35 PRO HDD...- Drewpy

AV123 X-LS + Panny xr57 connection
BlueJeansCable.com. Quality cables, no BS marked-up pricing, fast shipping... You can't lose. I'm using their speaker cables for my XR57 to Monitor Audio B2s, and their digital coax for Emu 0404 to XR57. Of course there are plenty of other options out there for pricier cables if BJCs don't... -
