Apple EarPods Thread
Quote: It could possibly be the type of music I listen to. Mainly vocals. Remember, this is just my opinion. I personally found the ER4 mids to be better than the SE530. That is what my ears are telling me, despite everybody saying they were the MID kings. Price doesn't always...- dragoonf144

Apple EarPods Thread
Quote: Imo, they are similar, Think SE530 bass (though lighter) with etymotic mids and highs. I can hear details as well as the etymotics imo. I have basically made my earpods my full time earphones now. The only time I've used my etys were when I needed some isolation, and that...- dragoonf144

Apple EarPods Thread
Quote: Quote: I just did a 10 min comparison trying to pick up the differences, and basically the earpods have a bit more mid bass. As far as I can tell, sub-bass seems to be better on the Etymotics, but it's hardly noticeable (or maybe my mind is playing games on me!) when...- dragoonf144

I prefer these over my Shure Se530s. My favourite IEMS (the ER4Ps) are getting a run for their money. I find the detail comes very close to the Etymotics.- dragoonf144

Help with Etymotic ER4S/ER4P
Go with the ER4P with the P-S converter cable for the best of both worlds. I personally use my ER4P in S mode regardless if I'm amping or not. I can't tell the difference with or without amp but since I prefer the sound sig of them in S mode, I use it like this- dragoonf144

What are the most comfortable DURABLE sleeves?
Foams from the packet, double flange tips (made by cutting the end flange of the triple flange tip), or klipsch tips are all pretty comfortable- dragoonf144

to ffdpmaggot I'm willing to make you a 50 driver iem for $3k. It might not fit into your ear (since i won't be providing an enclosure), and it might not even work properly(since id just be soldering wires to connect them altogether) , but hey, since it has more drivers than iems like the...- dragoonf144

IE8 vs. Monster Turbine Pro Copper/Gold/MD for "Techno"
I personally listen to some techno (and other bass heavy genres) and find the ER4 to be the best out of all the iems ive tried. Many people disagree with me however haha. I love it mainly due to the speed of the ER4s to resolve detail. Bass tended to get heavy with other earphones like the...- dragoonf144
