Creative MuVo Micro vs. Sandisk DAP
I have some experience with the SanDisk player. My boss bought a 1GB model for his wife for Christmas, and I helped him rip some discs. I only listened to one song, and used the included earphones. All I can say from such a limited experience is that it sounded "pretty good," and the...- dcfly

Going from SR-80's to HD 600's
I've been using Grado SR-80's for quite some time now, but I'm planning on buying some new 'phones soon and am seriously considering the HD 600's. Does anyone have any advice for me, since I can't listen to them beforehand? I should say that I enjoy the Grado's but am looking to expand my sonic...- dcfly

A stupid question by a stupid person.
This isn't a tweak, per se... We all understand that heavier pieces of audio equipment tend to isolate better... do you think that stacking audio components on top of each other, or otherwise placing resonably heavy items on top of your equipment helps to reduce vibrations?- dcfly

Headphone amp engineering 101
Thanks tangent, that was the kind of reply i was looking for. I'm not looking to build my own amp, I just want a little better understanding of how things work. What about the impedance rating of headphones and how this interacts with the equipment? I've also heard people say that they have...- dcfly

Headphone amp engineering 101
Hi anyone/everyone, I have a less-than complete understanding of what makes up a headphone amplifier. What are the components, and what do they do? What are the factors that make one headphone amp, whether stand-alone or built into a portable device or home component, sound better than...- dcfly

ok, is the phillips HDD100 avialible? if not now, when??
It looks like a nice alternative for someone trying to avoid the trendy iPod, but that weak headphone output could be a real problem. I'm eagerly awaiting some reviews.- dcfly

Ipod and Nomad Zen Batteries Not Repacable?
I know for sure that the Nomad Jukebox 3 allows for replacement of the battery, and can even accept a second battery for longer life... it pays the price in size however, compared to the iPod and Zen.- dcfly
