Looking for ~$100 open “portable” headphones
TL;DR: What's the best open portable headphones for about $100? I have an HD650, am looking for similar sound. Was an audiophile many years ago. Settled on an HD650 and a UM3X. I leave the UM3X at office for music enjoyment at work. But the problem is with it I cannot hear the outside...- Darksair

Good warm IEM unamped? (sub $350)
Quote: It's not the weight. It's the hassle coming from having to plug in and out every time, and that it takes a USB port, and that it takes a portion of my desk :P. But thank you for the advice.- Darksair

Good warm IEM unamped? (sub $350)
I just read some really good things about JVC HA-FX700. Definitely a good candidate. My worry about SM2 is its 119 dB/mW sensitivity sitting right between too high and ok... Now need to read more about the Monster Turbine~~- Darksair

Good warm IEM unamped? (sub $350)
Quote: Thanks for your reply. I don't know much about the latter two. I'll start reading. SM3 is too expensive. How does SM2 compare to SM3?- Darksair

Good warm IEM unamped? (sub $350)
I don't want an amp because I don't want to carry it around, plug it in and detach it everyday.- Darksair

Good warm IEM unamped? (sub $350)
Hi all, I have a UM3X and a Future Sonic Atrio. I love the um3x very much, but I cannot use it in my office (with macbook) because it is too sensitive; it renders the white noise overwhelmingly loud. So I have been using my Atrio most of the time. But recently I have been considering an...- Darksair

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
I received my pair from Dakmart today for $315. I only have a iBasso D2+ Boa, but they are already stunning to me with this amp! HD 650 has officially replaced Um3x as my favorite listening device~~- Darksair

Which of those closed headphones is the right one for me?!
I think I can at least help you kick A900 out. Personally I find its bass a bit shallow, and not with a strong impact, although quite clean. And mids is a bit recessed.- Darksair
