Just bought a used pair of DT-1350 CC on eBay. They are so far ahead of my modded, recabled T51p that it is almost amusing. At last a pair of portable on-ears suitable for classical music! It’s just a shame there is nothing comparable being made today. Not all of us like wearing IEMs…

Do you have some more information on that €300 mono cartridge? I’m looking for a step up from my AT MONO3/LP, and will be going to Beijing for a couple of days next month.

Won’t a cast iron platter rule out the use of MC cartridges?

My personal preference would be for an Eumig FL-1000uP, if one comes up at a sensible price and the heads can still be serviced (I think they were made by Alpine). Alternatively, for more sensible money, a good old Nak BX-300…
