In regards to the LED biasing for these amps, I'll add that I haven't totally ruled out a more typical cathode bias. In the past, my electrolytic capacitor phobia would have made this a hard no I unless I was forced to do it by the needs of the design. That was the case with Aegis, so I did a big electrolytic shootout and was blown away by the Jupiter Cosmos electrolytics. So, I should give them a fair shake and A-B test against the LED bias in these amplifiers because I really think they are that good.

YES!!Finished the HY69 output switch, 1000x more efficient after a full night's sleep.
I've decided I am going to go with the Zebra paracord, think it looks pretty classy, has a nice subtle sheen to it too.
You just need to feed this with some electricity to get a nice night lamp.

Looks great Keenan.YES!!
Great choice of the paracord, I thought those bright and loud colors would not give the amp the classy look that it deserves. Just my opinion of course.

Thanks Joe, yeah I sorta knew when I bought the set the Zebra was the one, but wanted to see some other patterns in person before making the decision. In the end, classy is best!

It does look rather like a British electric kettle lead…Finished the HY69 output switch, 1000x more efficient after a full night's sleep.

Wow, that wiring looks really neat. If you have time, could you help me with this?
(Just kidding, that's not my mess).

That reminds me of the inside of the tube radio I restored, an absolute rats' nest! I try to keep my point-to-point wiring nice and neat
Here's my chicken scratch wiring diagram, why doing this switch took so freaking long. Four secondaries, eight leads per channel that need to be wired in different configurations of series and parallel for the three different impedances.
At this point, I've done just about everything I can to prepare for these builds, nothing really to do now but get through the work week and hopefully get started next weekend.

Straightforward in principle, but a hassle in real life.
2A3 amplifier chassis is shipped and arriving Thursday! I have Friday off, so will get started first thing in the morning given the prep work I've done, not outside the realm of possibility of finishing it in one sitting, if not two at the most assuming no surprises of course.
