[Impression] Travagan's Colors (aka Dogbone) featuring FiiO E3
The unit has an input, output and a usb charging port. As for the gain, I am unsure as it only comes with a default gain. However, considering the size of it, i guess its only suited to iems.- Bushwacker

Best iPod for use in car? Nano vs. Classic.
i agree too with the mini. I love the mini in my car. Then again, the sound quaility in a car isn't what we can say audiophile grade.- Bushwacker

Shure SE530 alternatives
I used to own the Triple-Fi till I sold them off to get the SE530. The se530 has better midrange than the triple-fi. Soundstage wise I also feel that the se530 wins.- Bushwacker

Sennheiser HD414 - A piece of History
Dropping by Jaben Network, I was surprised when Uncle Wilson showed me a HD414. I was thinking, wow, this is classic. It was remade to mark Sennheiser's 50th anni. Tried it on a Imod-hornet setup and boy it was good. Here's a short impression. Bass - Much less than a HD650 (which I have)...- Bushwacker

zMod?
I have tried Jaben's Zmod. I own a iMod. However, during time of testing, the zMod is brand new while mine has about 400 hrs of run time. Recalling how both sound, here is my comparision. Bass - Both have a nice refined and tight bass. Mids and Highs - the Imod definately has a better...- Bushwacker

iPod in the car: recommendations on FM transmitters
I agree the the rest that transmitters for ipods aren't very good. I tried to use my previous transmitter for a creative player on my ipod and the sound was crap, it was partially static. Get an aux in. It does wonders.- Bushwacker

Can I upgrade from HD 555? Looking for IEM's
Well, I personally had a 555. Was running off the ipod with hornet. When I compared it with a 640c as the source, the 555 sounded so much better. Thus the source is usually the bottleneck in most setups.- Bushwacker

Anybodys portable rig come close to their home setup?
My portable can't come close to my home rig. The difference is just the source. Thus, the iMod comes into play. Hope this will even the odds.- Bushwacker

Marantz CD5001... best low-priced 'high-end' CD player?
I auditioned the CD5001, Nad c532 and the Cambridge Audio 640c v2. Personally, I feel the 640c is much better than the other 2. Amp was a hornet and was paired to a Senn 555. The 640c had much more detailed mids and a much wider soundstage than the other 2. I feel if anyone is going for a cdp...- Bushwacker
