Audio-Technica ATH-50 vs Audio-Technica ATH-50s: Sonically different?
I doubt they sound any different, manufacturers love to make a big deal out of tiny changes in sound and there aren't any to be found here. Sometimes the headroom graphs are inaccurate.- BoseFan

A noob needing advice for studio
$100-150 is a fine budget, and there's plenty of good closed cans you can get in this price range, used and new. Look into Beyerdynamic and Audio Technica. Eventually you're gonna need speakers, so you don't really need to spend more than that on headphones. I'd stick with closed headphones.- BoseFan

$150 speakers better than $600 headphones
Quote: If he thinks the Logitechs sound better, then they sound better to him. What exactly are you assuring him of? Oh hey, look what else isn't completely neutral: The headphones he doesn't like. And what headphone is? I guess they are all "crap" by someone's standards.- BoseFan

Best Place to Buy Audio Technica m50?
These headphones sell like hot cakes. Also I think I might have seen some privately listed headphones for sale by brianf, but I'm not sure how private listings on ebay work.- BoseFan

Need advice for ~Audiophile~ cans with good sound.
The M50s will definitely work for blocking out a lot of sound, though I don't know if they could muffle a baby screaming or something like that. However, I found them to be a little uncomfortable even after stretching them out. They clamp so they don't fall off your head, but some find them...- BoseFan

Velour/Felt Pads for ATH-M50?
Will these get my M50s in the DT 770 ballpark in terms of comfort? Whenever I put on someone's DT 770s I easily forget that I'm wearing headphones. The M50s just seem too heavy for me, or it could be the clamping, and I am not sure if this mod will help. BTW how much can you bend the headband?- BoseFan
