Weird question but can the padding of the headband on the HD599 be removed? PU leather + hot weather = sweat city :mad:.

DT880 Premium, they are mostly metal but the biggest quality difference is with the size adjustment, the 599's is a solid adjust that doesn't slip, the DT880's on the other hand from the day I got them they slipped because the clip design sucks, the little nub that's meant to fit into the divots...

Got my HD 599's today, I like them, build quality is far superior to my DT880's, oval ear pads are a little weird to get use to and there much stiffer than the 880's I'll get use to it though, not sure how well the headband will survive but we'll see. Got them on a Black Friday sale here in Aus...

Well my JDS Labs Element is awesome but I've found a small problem, Windows 10 & Plex, OpenPHT or normal Plex Home Theatre, run 2 or more screens (I have 3) the Element seems to cause Plex to freeze anywhere from 10 - 60 seconds when you alt-tab back into it... I first thought it was just my...

DT880 to HD599... worth it?

So my Element is running fine however I do have 1 problem, it seems to be causing Plex Home Theatre to start slow, freeze and crash... anyone else had this?

Got my JDS Labs Element today :L3000:. Takes up a little more room than my O2 & ODAC. Looks pretty good with it next to the volume control for my speakers. Also allows me to get rid of all these damn adapters, the 90° were for making it cleaner, the 2 splitters were for connecting...

Anyone tried the HD 599 for games yet?

The 599's look pretty nice, thinking of picking some up soon. When are we going to see replacement pads for these new headphones (or can they use the previous gen ones?), I constantly need new pads for my headphones, stupid heat :mad:.

Anyone used the Chinese knock off pads? Cant find genuine pads that don't cost an arm and a leg anywhere and I sweat so much it gets expensive replacing them seeing washing them screws up the velour.

So in terms of pure positional with crap all bass, the HD 598 still the best aren't they?

I was asking because I've seen people say you can just put it over the top of the stock and others say you have to take the stock one off.

Question, if I was going to get a replacement headband, I would have to take the stock one off wouldn't I?
