How much better is a Hornet vs. a GoVibe?

Skylab, what's the point in including the Xenos 0HA in your review, when it's long been out of production? There have been several steps of evolution in the meantime, 0HA-R, 0HA-RHP, 0HA-REP (hoping I'm not missing some). Some people could easily be (or want to be ) misled by this.

    "Mystery" Amp

I don't know...and don't have a measuring tape handy. But it's small indeed! Hope you aren't asked to pay those taxes

AKG K141 Studio and Sennheiser HD485

Yeah the HD485 is one great <$100 headphone. Note that with use it tends to get more and more balanced. My K141S instead has been stuck in a drawer for a long time.

$200-250 amp: Portaphile V2^2, PV2^2 Maxxed, Original Master, or PIMETA?

Out of curiosity, why didn't you consider the Little Dot Micro Tube at all? It perfectly falls in your price range... P.S.: I have ordered my Xenos 1HA-EPC

IMO the XTRA X-1 is in a class of its own among the <$100 portable amps (also see the posts on it by Jamato8).

It's a little risky to use the AD9631 for the preamplifier job in the L-R channels of the Pimeta, you'd surely get lots of DC offset unfortunately. I wouldn't know if the AD9631 actually performs better than the BUF634 buffers in high bandwidth. Certainly it beat all the other op-amps I tried...
