Was wondering if anyone has faced this problem? For some reason my HM-801 can no longer read my flac files unless I change the extension to .fla instead of .flac.

Aye, I'm blessed indeed to be able to afford both an imod and the HF 801. Yes, soundwise I have no regrets doing the upgrade but I definitely did not know about or expect the amazingly large adapter. Same here. I always charge mine while it's switched off. Sometimes 2hrs or less does it. The lack of an indicator was unsettling at first though. I mean, it'll be hard to tell if the adaptor is faulty or if the player's charging component ever gives up. It's not as if thhis non standard adaptor...
