Dear friend,

Sorry to hear about that. It seems to be the issue with the headphone jack. Are you capable to repair it? Or may be you can ask the staff in some eletronic store for help.

You can turn on the volume adjustable from playing settings if you are using FW2.0.

Best regards

Hi FiiO,

Yes I think so. I am using the adjustable volume on the line out, but I'm worried about damaging things I plug into it - I'm not very experienced with line outs and impedance. Is it possible to fix the headphone jack without damaging the X3ii?

Dear friend,

Damaging? You won't damage it if you repair it properly. You may need to replace the headphone jack using the slodering iron.

Thank you for your reply. Is there a specific brand of TF card that is recommended?
Dear friend,

Generally, we will recommend the Sandisk card. But we can't be sure whether it may help.

Hello FiiO
I own a X5-III since a few weeks, and I noticed a short crackle before the beginning of a new audio file, when I browse among folders. I did not notice this when I play several files on a row in the same folder. I tried to turn gapless playback on and off, but it makes no difference.
My files are on the Sandisk card that I previously used with my X5-I, but with the X5-I, I never encountered this issue...

Any idea ? Could this be solved with next fw update (l'm under 1.1.6) ?

best regards

Dear friend,

Did you turn on the Vipper effect or the issue happens in switching songs with diffrent sampling rate?

Hello
No différence w/wo Viper.
I use only FLAC files, mostly level 5 compression, and a few DSD. But of course, the comparison with X5-I (no crackling) was about FLAC files...
Must be something else...

Dear friend,

About the slight crackle that occurs occasionally during playback
It is one of the HiFi audio players' core features to support different types of music formats and sampling rates. And each time when the DAC chip change the sampling rates, it will need to reset itself, which can cause a slight crackle in the sound. This problem cannot be totally prevented, unless converting all the songs to the same format and sampling rates before playing them (just like what the Apple iTunes will do). But doing this will make the HiFi player lose its biggest advantage.

Best regards

Thank you for your answer. But then, why did these crackles not occur with the X5-I, with the same memory card containing the same audio files ?

Hi,
I own Fiio X5 2nd gen. Since your last FW update ver. 2.1 the player would not go into Idle Standby mode, if Fast Forward is pressed. The battery drains pretty quickly.
Is there a solution to this issue?
Thanks.

Dear friend,

Sorry if bringing inconveinece to you.

Hi,

I have several FiiO items. I'm mostly happy with them. Two issues:

1. My x5ii does not show the correct bit depth in USB DAC mode. I understand this is a known issue, but when will it be fixed?

2. My x5ii is recognized and works fine except for the issue above. But my new FiiO X3 Mark III is not recognized by a very recent Linux kernel 4.14.18. This is annoying because I can't use it with my K5, which is the reason I bought it.

Thanks.

Hello

I just bought a X7ii, and all is working well except my OTG storage. I am using the same Integral SSD and cables that I was using for OTG on my Gen 1 X5, but playing files from the OTG on the X7ii playback stutters badly, where it was fine on the X5. It happens when I use Fiio music, Neutron and Gonemad, so It's not a software issue, and I'm pretty sure it's not the SSD / cables as thye still work perfectly on the X5. Any ideas - faulty amp module?
Both my SD cards and the OTG SSD are formatted FAT32.

I also find that every time I attach the X7ii to my PC it tells me the SD and OTG cards need to be scanned and fixed, which never used to happen with the X5 either.

Can you help?
