In my experience, the hooks are purely cosmetic. Regarding the warranty, You should ask to the dealer you will order to.

Maybe should you upgrade your "extreme quality" to the wav quality of an uploaded CD on your iphone or note3?... By doing so, you will probably hear a better clarity.

The fit is hard to get. Look in these thread to find some possible solution. All I can say is when you get a good fit, the sound is very good.
