Yamaha EPH-100
Could someone with the eph-100/gr-07 and the Monster Copper provide a comparison in terms of soundstage, separation, and isolation? Or anything you can think of? I own the Coppers currently, and they are fairly bass heavy, I'm contemplating whether it's worth it to get the eph-100, or...- lh0628

Should I look for an amp with (optical) S/PDIF inputs?
Wouldn't a USB out also suits you? I'm using the Nuforce uDAC, computer->USB->DAC, then straight to the uDAC's built-in headphone plug or to your amp.- lh0628

I'm running mine with a set of KRK Rokit speakers, they sound good to me except I get the odd pop sounds every few minutes. And my left channel cuts out once in a while, and I have to unplug/re-plug the USB cable to make it work again.- lh0628

So you know what I'm talking about then eh Do you mean that you have problems as well when connecting the uDAC to an amp? When I hook the uDAC up with my receiver, everything sounds fine, also the headphone out is very quiet as well. Only when I connect the uDAC to my amp, the hums...- lh0628

Has anyone tried to connect the uDAC's RCA out to an amp? I have mine hooked up and I'm getting pretty bad hum/noise. It doesn't do this when I use optical out to a receiver then the amp. I'm suspecting it's USB noise from my computer, but does anybody else have a similar experience?- lh0628

uDAC+SRH840 sounds very good to me, the SRH840 is very comfortable and the pads are really soft. I can't wait to see what the HDP can do.- lh0628

Online Hi-FI stores in Canada?
axemusic.com is another place. The prices we pay in Canada is a joke. OIC, you need to plug both monitors in. Having separate amps in each monitor is better than one amp in the master for a lot of good reasons.- lh0628

I'm feeding it to a Nakamichi AV-8 receiver. No problem when I connect my PS3's optical out to the receiver. Any of you guys heard of it? I always wanted to know if they are any good, but there aren't a lot of info about them.- lh0628

Is anyone using the RCA out on the uDAC? When I turn the volume knob past around 3 o'clock, it distorts my speakers pretty badly. Before 3 o'clock, everything is fine.- lh0628

I just got my pair today, they sound wonderful. I'm just connecting it to my uDAC's headphone out and it gets plenty loud. I also heard beats that I wasn't able to hear before on my Philips HP910 and ATH-ES7.- lh0628

Just got mine today. The unit itself is small and sturdy. One problem is the knob isn't parallel to the front face plate, so sometimes it rubs against the front face plate when adjusting volume. Sound wise it is definitely better than my onboard card.- lh0628
