Is it bad that this type of **** gets me way more excited than the "normal" type of ****?

Don't take offense to this..but I'm mainly looking for comments from people with experience with these headphones. I could guess just as much as the next person.

Got an email back from Grado saying the Varathane should not have any effect on the sound. Not sure how/why it would..be was worth asking.

So, we've concluded that they are glossy...Would the Varathane have an affect on sound? That's all I'm concerned about.

Think it may just be the flash? And from looking at pictures..to me the older RS series Grado's do seem to be a bit glossier.

So, I sold off my K340..and I'm just looking to try something new. I want to get a headphone that will match my system well (see signature). I've been really considering the RS1 (would possibly buy new) and also a recabled HD650. I've owned lots of different headphones, but never 2 at the same...

I have one headphone. If I want to try something else, I sell it and buy another. Headphone in..headphone out. I have no need for more than 1 pair.

Thinking of buying a pair new..and was just curious. Do the new versions (buttonless) sound different from the versions with a button? I know obviously the "vintage" RS1s with the brown headband and supposed to be a lot different..but I was more just looking for a comparison to the more recent...

I guess I was wrong. I would never conduct my sales on the forums like this one..and I can only hope there are others out there that agree and do the same.
