Thinking of buying a pair new..and was just curious. Do the new versions (buttonless) sound different from the versions with a button? I know obviously the "vintage" RS1s with the brown headband and supposed to be a lot different..but I was more just looking for a comparison to the more recent versions.

there was a direct comparison between the two a little ways back. look for that. i suspect the button or lack thereof changes the sound in some manner.
