A new show your bicycle thread

Heres my road bike. A old Giant Tcr Compact. Alu frame with carbon forks. 8 spd Dura-ace and 600 (old ultegra) drivetrain and wheels. Looks a bit grimey at the mo, because I've been commuting 25 miles a day on it.

A new show your bicycle thread

mountain biking, when its not too hilly! The single gear kills you up the hills and you spin out on the downhills. BUT its all about the 'experience'. No thinking about which gear to be in, no worrying about maintenence, no suspension so you feel the trail. Its actually quite enjoyable. And...

    Bikes and heights

Looks 'quite' scary. Better thou is some mtb'er in Canada, who is riding across a bridge on a few inches wide railing. Hard road with cars on one side, icy frozen river on the other. Can't remember which mtb video is it unfortunately.

It's a bicycle thread again. Recommend me a commute bike.

How about a 2005 Giant XTC 1 or 2. They have carbon rear stays to take the sting out, and are specced with discs. They also look like they'll make great SC hardtails. Personally, I used to use a old steel GT with 1" slicks, and dodgy parts (i think u've seen it) but now use my Giant TCR...

    OK, we've had Knife-Fi... What about Torch-Fi?

I have a High Intensity Discharge (H.I.D) lamp for night moutain biking. Its a metal halide lamp, which draws the same current as a 12W halogen but outputs the equivalent light of around a 45W halogen So i get 5 hours runtime with this small li-ion battery!
