    Are my speakers destroyed?

Here's what I think is the general consensus on HiFi two channel speaker classifications and associated costs. It seems relevant considering some of the prior posts in this thread: Entry Level $500 to $2,000 Mid Level $2,000 to $5,000 Hi End $5,000 to $15,000 Ultra High End > $15,000. And there...

    6BL7 Tubes?

While not a common tube, I have read that this tube will work well in many designs. The problem of course is the limited supply of good NOS American made tubes.

    Stupid Baseball Questions

So, I'm primarily a hockey fan, followed by college football and basketball. However, I'm from Detroit and so, am now following MLB a bit closer. I watched a National League game last night and have the following questions. 1. Why do pitchers bat like they do? I've never played fastball...

How do you remove the metal screen on the K1000?

Sorry I can't help you but, please do some searches on re-cabling or hard-wiring the K1000s. I just can't remember where, but I've seen step-by step articles. Of course the removing of the screens would be of value to you. Good luck. BTW, were they like this when you bought 'em??

How do you remove the metal screen on the K1000?

Although I've never done it, my impression from many articles, posts, etc. is; if you thought getting 'em off is hard, wait until you try getting 'em back on! Think about getting a can of compressed air first and giving 'em a good blowing. You won't believe the junk that comes out (uggh.)

    Who listens to MP3 players?

Maybe it's an age thing. I'm 38, two small boys, two dogs and a house. Last year I used a small radio while doing the lawn (NPR) but always felt like someone was sneaking up on me. Other times in the yard, I just like to listen to "nature." Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE music...
