Technics EAH-A800
I’m interested in these, but I’ve seen reports that there‘s some “internal“ noise coming in through the mics when walking with them on - they seem to flex a bit and produce squeaks. Anyone noticed this?- florin

Search Results order
Congrats on the upgrade, it looks good! Regarding functionality, I've noticed that when doing a search the default sorting order for the results is by relevance. That's different from the old behavior. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but for the FS/FT forums I think it is. When I'm doing...- florin

My experience with Shure's SRH750DJ - now official impressions thread
I have the 840s and I'm considering these as I'd love a bit more bass. The highs seem pretty good to me, are there major differences? But my biggest issue is comfort: I have pretty big ears so they touch the pads on the top-back of them. After an hour or two it gets annoying and I have to take...- florin

Phonak Audeo?
For those in Europe I got the Audeos from this place. I payed 99€ + 25€ shipping. You might get a better shipping price if you leave in Western Europe. It took them a while to get to me because they first told me they only take bank transfer, but I was finally able to pay using Paypal. Shipping...- florin

Best amp for Ultrasone Proline 750 bellow $300?
Bump. I'm currently listening to the Prolines 750 through a 0404USB headphone out. They sound really good, but I think they could improve with a better amp. My only complaints are sibilance on some female voices and maybe a bit recessed mids. I'm looking for reducing (or maybe eliminating)...- florin

Sennheiser CX95 = wow !!!
It would be nice if you could throw the X3s in the comparison too. I'm a bit disappointed with them, maybe the Senns are the way to go.- florin

CrossRoads MylarOne X3, XB, and Classic Owners Club
I've ordered a X3 + CK5 bundle last night. I hope at least one of them will be an improvement over my current CX300 (too much bass, muddy, rock sounds awful on them). The details field didn't appear in the paypal order for some reason, so I sent a mail to david [AT] jaben.net with the colors...- florin

That looong thread about Ultrasones convinced me, but now I'm now a bit disappointed about their quality control - don't they do a basic test on them before packing?! The problem is that this was the only pair in stock, so I'll probably have to wait a couple of weeks for a replacement. As...- florin

Ordered the Prolines 750 a few days ago, arrived today... I only get sound from one of them (left)... the other one is dead. I screwed the cable until it doesn't rotate anymore, tried both cables, with and without the adapter... Am I missing something? Guess I'll have to send them back...- florin

OK, went to the showroom, spent two hours there. First I tried the DT250-250... well nothing impressive: the sound was too dark (opposite of bright ?!) for my taste... on some songs cymbals were too weak, bass a bit overwhelming . Rock sounded quite good even so, but overall tonality was...- florin

Yap, just checked the official distributor of Ultrasone and they have one piece at exactly 280$. So, tomorrow I'll check the Beyers, and if they're not "right" I'll get the Ultrasones. I can't listen to the Ultrasones as they're in another town. As for the source... 0404 PCI or maybe I'll...- florin

Yeah, closed is must. It would have been easier otherwise. The Proline 750 is an interesting choice, as I can get them for ~340$... just +20$ over A900 and from a safer source. But how are they doing unamped? Beacause I'll have to get the PCI version of EMU 0404 and even use them with my...- florin

Hello everybody! So I want to upgrade my "sound system" - that means headphones + sound card. I know there's another section for sources, but I need some opinions about the best combination for the money. My current setup is kind of lame by head-fi standards, but hopefully that will change...- florin

Comfortable, Closed cans under $100?
I have the same requirements as fraseyboy, so I hope he doesn't mind "invading" his thread. I was too thinking about the 271S, but how are they handling rock & electronic music? I heard of the anemic bass, but I don't necessarily need a "groove machine". For example the CX300 are a little too...- florin
