after about 30hrs of burnin, heres my brief impressions. i just want to note that these are based from comparisons on the cx300 and cx400.
i think what you will notice right away is the treble. highs on the cx400 is more detailed and refined - a bit sparkly and natural sounding as compared to the somewhat "artificial" treble on the cx300.
mids are a bit more forward. vocals are now prominent. bass impact seems to have been reduced but its more controlled and tighter. i think this is one factor why overall sound is less muddy. it doesnt overpower the mids and highs that much unlike the cx300.
imo, the differences is not that significant but noticeable (at least for me)
