Hello everyone.   I am a proud owner of an iPod Video 5.5 Gen and I have a few questions that I don't believe have been asked before.   One thing I'd Like to find out; Is there an external LOD amp that allows charging of the iPod when in use?  Which external amps provide the strongest bass...

I am planning on doing an upgrade when I save up for it.  Some of us are broke college kids and can't afford doing these things on a whim.

Does anybody know if Rockbox will run more smoothly with a different allocation unit size when formatting an original iPod hdd (to exfat)?

Just rockboxed my iPod video 5.5 today and I can definitely see why upgrading to an SSD is a priority.  Can't even get smooth playback using it.  Even the OF (original firmware) on the iPod is alot faster than RB.  Anyone else encounter this?

Seeyoutoo, please note that many of your links are to a "CE" drive instead of PATA, which I believe only works with a particular generation.  Just wanted to make sure you were aware of this.
