Very straightforward and incredibly helpful. I'd expect nothing less from someone engaged in this thread and in the Head-Fi community. Thanks Dr.! Any EQ advice to achieve a nice powerful bass delivery? I've tried messing with the q values and the filters and stuff and I've seemed to...- chabotc95

Hello everyone. I am a proud owner of an iPod Video 5.5 Gen and I have a few questions that I don't believe have been asked before. One thing I'd Like to find out; Is there an external LOD amp that allows charging of the iPod when in use? Which external amps provide the strongest bass...- chabotc95

Quote: I actually batch removed all my embedded album art on the device and used a utility to convert them to 240px bitmaps. Works great now! My ridiculously sized cover images were slowing it down.- chabotc95

Just rockboxed my iPod video 5.5 today and I can definitely see why upgrading to an SSD is a priority. Can't even get smooth playback using it. Even the OF (original firmware) on the iPod is alot faster than RB. Anyone else encounter this?- chabotc95

It's listed at $450. So I guess I'll have to stick with the old style 240gb spinning PATA drive if I want a reasonably affordable option. The only downside to these is the lag, correct?- chabotc95

What would be the cheapest 256gb compact flash card available that is completely compatible (with 5.5 video)? Seems to be the wisest choice to invest a few extra dollars in a CF.- chabotc95
