Not a direct comparison, but I have the Lyr 1 and with the 74 Reflektors I thought the Lyr was fuller, clearer, and had more slam.  Love the Vali, but felt the Lyr was a definite step up.  How long have you had the Lyr 2 and HG's?  Never heard either, but looking forward to it someday.

  Don't back down, I'm with you.  Whether it's something an engineer can measure, all in your head, or friction from the spinning platter warming the air in the room, I get a warm and fuzzy feeling from vinyl.  My main rig is digital, and that's where I do 90% of my listening.  I don't find it...

  Angry Yoda Baldr-   As a non-engineer, I am curious about your comment about warming your gear up.  Could you explain why?  I have a Bifrost Uber feeding an original Lyr.  I get (or at least I think I do) why tubes may need to be warmed up, but how are digital devices like the Birfost...

  Because they'll just get left behind the next time Apple decides to change connectors.  Much safer from a manufacturer's perspective to just go with an open standard like Bluetooth, even if audio quality sucks.
