Woo Audio Amp Owner Unite
Yes but you would now have 2 volume controls to attenuate the signal. One on the WA22 and one on the GSX. You want to set the volume on the Woo at an appropriate level as you could potentially risk overloading the input of the GSX mini giving you harsh clipping/distortion.- xevman

Woo Audio WA6 + WA6SE: Tubes, Comments, Pictures, and Advice
So my new toy arrived... very excited as I used to own a WA6 a few years ago loved its sound but didn't find it powerful enough with some of my planar headphones. The WA6-SE is a much better fit however it wasn't without its challenges at the start. Ran into a ground loop issue (50 cycle buzz...- xevman

Woo Audio Amp Owner Unite
Not sure if this is thread appropriate but I have no idea where else to ask this. Have any early gen WA6 and WA6-SE owners seen these green label Sylvania 6DE7 tubes with black plate structure? Can't find any info about them on the internet nor a single photo so I'm guessing they are quite rare?- xevman

Denon AH-D7000 to Fostex TH-900 worth it?
Sorry for the late bump, I have had both and actually prefer the sound of the D7000.... less piercing and more balanced overall. If I was looking at a potential upgrade from the D7000 I'd probably try the ZMF EIKON.- xevman

HiFiman HE-500 (HE as in High End) Proving to be an enjoyable experience in listening.
Anyone run Sundara pads on their HE-500s? Got bored and ripped the pads off mine and threw them on the HE-500 and wow these things slam hard and have great low end compared to the stock or my lawton angle pads...- xevman

Focal Clear headphones
Which one of the Dekoni earpads changes the sound the least on the Clears? Mine have discolored and have tried everything to clean them to no avail. Decided I'm probably better off with black earpads but don't want to change the tonality of these headphones.- xevman

Denon AH-D9200 - 2018 Flagship - Impressions Thread
Are there any measurements of this headphone online? I have no way of listening to it and just want a glimpse of its tonal character. I currently own D7000's and love them... if these have a similar sonic signature without the sound leakage count me in. I used to also own the AH D600 aswell and...- xevman

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF
I just picked up a used pair of ZMF Atticus for a steal with the older style headband in Paduk. My god I've never heard another headphone quite so musical and liquid. They remind me of the HD650 which I love but I feel that they are better suited to pretty much all genres. The HD650 in some...- xevman

HiFiman HE-500 (HE as in High End) Proving to be an enjoyable experience in listening.
Planar magnetic headphones don't care for high output impedance as they are purely resistive. Amps with a higher output impedance have no impact on frequency response on planars. That being said running an amp with let's say 50 ohm output impedance to a he500 will reduce the amount of power...- xevman

Who prefers the Sennheiser HD 800 over the STAX SR-009? (Whether overall or in certain categories.)
I own both the HD800s and Sr009. Even on my lower end Stax setup i've found the SR009 comes on top I just feel that its sound is more transparent and just generally more refined. That being said though the HD800S gets pretty damn close at a fraction of the price. If you don't want to deal with...- xevman

The Stax SR-L500 and SR-L700 Impressions Thread
Its a huge spend though. Many times more than what I paid for these. I have a local retailer who have a BHSE thats avaliable to audition and other high end gear. Might be in my best interests to try both the L700 and Sr009 out there.- xevman

The Stax SR-L500 and SR-L700 Impressions Thread
Waiting for my L700 to arrive. I have a set of SR009 and keep hearing the L700 being touted as the mini SR009. I can't wait to do an in depth comparison between the two on my humble little setup, and then once again when I inevitably get a KGSS. I doubt the amp will make that big of a difference...- xevman

The STAX energizers assuming everything is ok should make 0 noise. My srm323ii plugged into varying sources with nothing playing on maximum volume has no background noise.- xevman

I'm sure it would be beneficial to run with a better energizer but I doubt it will make a night and day difference. I've auditioned the L700 with much higher end energizers and the differences were subtle at best.- xevman

Does anyone know if an SRM323II is adequete for driving SR007 MKii or will it struggle? I heard that SR007 MKII aren't as efficient as the Lambda line as a general rule of thumb.- xevman

Have you tried disconnecting the source feeding the srm353x? With the l700 connected to the amp and no source feeding them does the sound persist, if yes its likely the unit is defective.- xevman

What earpads are the go to if you want more comfort but don't want to alter the sound signature? I tried the lawton pads and they sounded awful on both my d7000 and th x00.- xevman
