Bose QC25 review (long flight experience included)
Question: Why bother buying NC headphones when you can use noise isolating headphones without sibilance and loss in sound quality? Is it just for blocking noise when you are not listening to anything?- noblemff

Bose QC25 review (long flight experience included)
I believe that Sony MDR-1RNC is way ahead in the sound department than Bose, although it falls a bit behind Bose for noise cancellation. Also the comfort I believe is a tie for both.- noblemff

Sennheiser HD 598 vs Audio Technica ATH-A900X
For a start let me say that HD 598 and ATH- A900X are headphones from different leagues and I am no expert in the advanced technicalities of the two. Tip - Both headphones does not require much amping as both have impedance below 50 ohms therefore make sure not to put big output gains on your...- noblemff

Distortion of Sound Documentary
I agree billybob-jcv, and to some extent it is also marketing Harman, but somebody took initiative! Also one thing that is kept away is that audio recordings which are poorly mastered and mixed fail to break the barrier of hardware to give transparent audio even at 192/24. Anyways...- noblemff

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
Do you mean sibilance by white noise?, if so try Sony hybrids or Sony noise isolation earbuds which isolates better and reduce sibilance. Sony noise isolation tips are not sold separately you would have to buy an earphone to get the tips like Sony XBA 10 or Sony MDR XB60EX which costs around...- noblemff

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
I usually hook it up with my Sony Xperia or Walkman most times with a portable amp like the FiiO E18. I listen to almost everything and have files with 96/88.2/44.1K resolution. I always adjust the EQ according to genre and would not brighten up the highs when listening to certain...- noblemff

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
Has anyone ever noticed even a slight amount of sibilance on IE 80s, if so how much would you rate it on a scale of 1 to 10? My IE 80 box doesn't have a QR code and hence cannot authenticate my phones on Sennheiser website.- noblemff

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
I have been reading in many places that IE 80 has no sibilance at all. Now I have been using IE 80 for quite some time and has noticed considerable amount of sibilance for dynamic headphones. Does this mean they are FAKE?? I have tried it with different sources with or without amplifier...- noblemff

Would Sennheiser ever make a Hybrid (with IE80 driver) or BA phones?
I truly had been a fan of IE 8 and now a fan of IE 80 for their bass and soundstage. Would like to see a hybrid from Sennheiser with IE 80 driver and two drivers for mids and highs. It could bring the recessed mids forward and fix problems with the treble and details I think IMHO. Anyway...- noblemff
