I am getting a vintage receiver for the HE 6. Koolpep just bought one (a 1970's Sansui) & I tried the HE 6 on it. They sounded amazing, the Bass just hit you in the face.

I am getting a vintage receiver for the HE 6. Koolpep just bought one (a 1970's Sansui) & I tried the HE 6 on it. They sounded amazing, the Bass just hit you in the face.

My s6 is very musical but I remember more slam from the sparks

Ha, it drives pretty much everything either from the HE-Adapter or via headphone out.
 
Currently I enjoy it with the HE-560, HE-400 and LCD2 from the HE-Adapter and the HD650/K7XX from the headphone out. It's amazing how powerful even the headphone out is.
 
I choose that amp because I heard of the golden era of Sansui where they produced some outstanding stuff but mostly because it nearly as old as I am - so it must good 

 

Sansui and his modern brother the Burson (Gustard is now in @Jozurr caring hands).
