Exactly for that reason I'm a bit concerned about the HD700s, being 150 ohm...Maybe not problematic at all, but perhaps not optimal... I'm looking for an amp that could warms high and mid-high frequencies: actually I feel them too much thin and metallic with Asgard, especially on pop records.

Harsh for someone, may be clear for others. Veiled for someone, may be smooth for others. No ear is the same, nor the brain is linked to.

Fyi I bought them and I absolutely love their sound, warm and transparent at the same time. Cannot hear any harsness, at least with my Asgard, but I can agree that some pop track may sound a bit too thin. Hearing damage can occur for eccessive sound pressure, but surely not from how are voiced...
