FiiO Q5, Flagship DAC/Amp, an Dual DAC, USB/Optical/Coaxial/Line in, share the same amp module with X7.

I currently have a Fiio E18 and I can't wait to upgrade to the Q5. I know whatever Fiio puts out will be HQ. aka subbed

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)

Are you getting a good seal with the IM70? I had to sell them because of fit issues, but the one time I managed to get a good seal they had good instrument separation and decent sound stage.

Is iemmagnet the guy that keep saying his Miles Davis Trumpet's were the best thing since sliced bread? IIRC He also convinced me and a few others to get the Om Audio inearpeace... which wasn't to bad I guess.

This is true, but they handle EQ very well. I hit the bass boost on my E18, threw on the black filters w/ double flanges, and hit up the DubstepGutter for some bassy tracks. Definitely not lacking in the bass department after that. Actually, I would say these handle EQ better than any IEM I've...

Missed opportunity to tell everyone how good the Macaw's really are. I'm using some double flange tips with them and they're just so yummy. :D

Pioneer new DJ In-Ear Headphones DJE-2000 and DJE-1500

The 1500 has a load of bass and treble. Stock sound is very V-shaped but as someone else mentioned the DJE series is VERY eq-able. I just wish I could have gotten use to the fit but my ears just weren't compatible. I had the same problem with the IM70, so I know it was just my ears.

MacaW GT100s(inverted dynamic driver) impressions thread

I'm really enjoying the black filters + auvio tips. I think silver filters are the best overall, black are the funnest, and gold are trash imho. Gold just sounds like silver with less bass. Auvio tips are working well but I've yet to try any extensive tip rolling or even the included foams...

MacaW GT100s(inverted dynamic driver) impressions thread

I have to say, besides the cable being a little more flimsy than I originally thought it would be. These, so far, live up to my expectations. The BQ is way above something of this price range, the packaging was done very well, the sound without burn-in & just the stock tips is pretty damn good...

Thanks to Twister & Selenium's reviews I now have the Macaw GT100s coming to me. :D Managed to keep myself from buying new headphones for so long, but that invisible itch is daunting. :)

I went ahead and bought these off Amazon because I have prime for two-day shipping. These look like they're tank level bq. :)

Pioneer new DJ In-Ear Headphones DJE-2000 and DJE-1500

So, I received my cable. It's the Shure SE846's cable. Super strong memory wire around the ears but less memory in the actual cord, feels a lot cleaner (which may be placebo). This cord just is all around better than the one that came with the IEM. Still waiting on my Sony Hybrids.

FX850 is probably a step above the rest.

Ordered some Sony Hybrids & a new mm cable. I know the poster above and dweaver give the cable good grades but I feel like it has way to much memory for me.

Yes, the housing is probably the biggest that I've had in my ears. I think that might be where most of the discomfort is coming from and it will settle when I get use to the size. I also agree with all of your other initial opinions. I'm currently using the foams that came with the IEM because...

Pioneer new DJ In-Ear Headphones DJE-2000 and DJE-1500

Okay, initial impression is that they sound good. Clear mids, deep bass, a bit of sparkly on the top, but the fit is something you're gonna have to get use too. I'm having an extremely difficult time with it. I think I might have figured it out with the medium auvio tips but I'm honestly not...

Yeah, this is actually what caught my attention and why I didn't just jump straight to the major leagues. I have high hopes for the comfort on these headphones and if it works out I would love to see TOTL universals implant a similar design.

Amazon is selling them for under $140 so I went ahead and bit. Should be interesting to tide me over while I collect funds for * (one of the following: IE 800, Velvet, or SD-3s).

That's the thing, M8. He didn't say he wanted a basshead IEM. He said he wanted one that had good quality/refined bass that can dig deep but without the recessed mids or rolled off highs that normally come with that. The Answer, being dynamic, does allow you to dig deeper than any BA would. I...

Noble 5/6 I don't know how the Noble 5 sounds but I tried a friends Noble 6 and they were really good. Great bass quality. I'm personally going for the Noble 4, which is said to be bass anemic, but I'm looking forward to the more balanced signature. FX850 might also be a good IEM for you. I...

    new akg k323 xs

I've been trying a lot of headphones with the 75ohm impudence adapter and today I grabbed the K323 out of my bag of random cheap IEM. I forgot how good they sounded and decided to try the impudence adapter on them. Man, I think these took to that a lot better than any headphone I have tried thus...
