I agree with that :). Now the Z5 are a different kettle of fish! But at 3+ times the cost they darn well need to be!

Just received them today and they are quite nice, cable is really good, quality bass with sony green eartips.
But decided to put those on sale for a while anyway, as i'm on the road to alluring XBA-Z5, but may be will keep them just for the cable alone.

Does burn-in has any effect on DJE-1500 in your experience guys?

Ordered some Sony Hybrids & a new mm cable. I know the poster above and dweaver give the cable good grades but I feel like it has way to much memory for me.

I bought this cable for my LG G3 and all 3 buttons work correctly. It is supposed to be for Samsung phones.

The cable increases bass a bit and extends the treble a bit. I found it to be a bit more V shaped than the original cable in regards to the sonic signature. The cable is not super long though and is a bit still due to the braiding. I am now using the cable on my Z5 and DJE1500 depending on what I am using. It reduced the warmness of the Z5 like it did the DJE1500 so it is definitely a characteristic of the cable itself.

the 1500 can use some clarity in the bass (bloat), the cable i have cleans it up just enough... it may be worth the extra cash if you like the sound.

So, I received my cable. It's the Shure SE846's cable. Super strong memory wire around the ears but less memory in the actual cord, feels a lot cleaner (which may be placebo). This cord just is all around better than the one that came with the IEM. Still waiting on my Sony Hybrids.

I'm looking to pair my new Sony a15 portable player with some nice IEM.

I like open sound, large stage, detailed music, nice vocals, deep and a bit enhanced lows - but nice seperation from the mid and highs. Yeah, can't stand loosing highs as well....

The Sony a15 comes with a relatively low output level, so an easy driven IEM are a must also....

Having said the, those r the final options that I suspect that might make me happy... :

1. Vsonic GR07 Bass Edition
2. RHD T10i (not enough detailed?)
3. Bower & Wilkins C5 series 2
4. As from this thread... The Pioneer DJE1500

Please help!

Thanks
G.

i'm curious if anyone can compare them to the ma750, soundwise. they have been on my eye for some time

I far prefer these to the T10is.  Those were too bass heavy for me. These are definitely bass heavy, but more in the sense that you feel it and it doesn't sacrifice the highs.   The bass on both might be a little fatiguing.

Other things -

The T10is are slightly more comfortable, but the DJE-1500s can be worn straight down and I like having the option.

The cable is better on the DJEs.

I am getting good isolation with the Isolation Complys.

The DJE soundstage is better than the T10is.
