    SONY NW-WM1Z M2 / WM1A M2

Good idea, but then I'd be tempted to spend more money and I can't afford a divorce:dt880smile:

    SONY NW-WM1Z M2 / WM1A M2

Thanks all...the official Android tool did it! Realize now I was looking at an old guide for a non-Android Walkman...shouldn't do this stuff when I'm half asleep. I'm overseas now (picked this baby up at e-earphone in Akihabara today), so only have my WF-1000XM4 wireless buds to test, but so...

    SONY NW-WM1Z M2 / WM1A M2

I've been following this thread for a bit and finally took the plunge and bought a WM1M2. Thank you for all the info to help me make my purchase. Maybe I missed it along the way, but has anyone had issues with macOS and file transfer? I followed the guide and can't get the thing to show up in...

Comment by 'superotaku' on listing 'Sony TA-ZH1ES'

Hi, Is this still available? How much to ship to the Toronto area? (L1R 2H4). Thank you.

    SONY NW-WM1Z / WM1A

Thanks for the detailed info!  I'm thinking I'll just stick with the Hugo as it's more versatile (I would have to sell it to purchase the WM1A).     I have to say it's awesome to see Sony making such high quality products once again because there was so much crap for so many years.  I still...

    SONY NW-WM1Z / WM1A

Interesting thoughts. Are you using the Z1Rs? I just picked them up in Tokyo and they are amazing. Sony has managed to keep musicality and fun but not sacrifice clarity. I currently own the HD800 and PS1000e and have owned the T1s and LCD3 Fazor along with a whole pile of various level phones...

Chord Hugo - The PORTABLE discussion thread

Have my repaired Hugo back now and want to thank Chord and Bluebird Music for an awesome experience.  Extremely quick responses to email inquiries and a 1 business day turnaround time on my device...very impressive.  They ended up replacing the entire board and it's working flawlessly.    ...

Chord Hugo - The PORTABLE discussion thread

Long time thread lurker here who just had the HD USB break off my Hugo. Not impressed considering how careful I am with it. Soon after breaking, the device began operating strangely (getting no sound from SD USB port) and the volume indicator didn't provide all levelled colours. After a few...

Burson Conductor SL ES9018 as DAC vs. Something Else?

Ok...opinions appreciated from anyone who might have experience in this realm.  I originally bought a Sabre ES9018 based Conductor SL last summer and it's been a great piece of kit.  Earlier this year I found a decent deal on a used WA2 and absolutely fell in love with the Woo sound running off...

    Disappointed with Mjolnir

Quote:   In the end I ended up selling the 160DS.  It sounded great with the Gungnir as my DAC but I found the power headroom a little lacking for the LCDs.  I had to have the volume knob almost completely turned to the right to be at an acceptable level.  Interesting point on the fuse...

    Schiit Mjolnir headphone amplifier

Quote:   Yeah, I find the Black Widow to be warmer than the Silver Dragon V3 and better suited to certain recordings (ie: classic rock).  I really like the Silver Dragon V3 for pushing the voices up a bit and taking away the Audeze's warmth/darkness for other recordings.  Last night I was...

    Schiit Mjolnir headphone amplifier

I just picked up a used Moon Audio Silver Dragon V3 (silver conductor) cable for my LCD2's and find that it makes a pretty big difference over my Toxic Cable Black Widow (copper conductor).  They're both great but there's enough of a change that I can switch back and forth depending on what I'm...

    Schiit Mjolnir headphone amplifier

I've been using my Mjolnir/Gungnir and LCD2's for just over 2 weeks and after a good 50-75 hours it sounds really good.  At first I was really disappointed and could barely listen to the combo, but now I love it.  Part of this was getting used to the overall signature of a balanced system.    ...

    Disappointed with Mjolnir

Quote:   Sorry, I don't know why but it seems to work.   Quote:   I ran it through using the JL Labs burn-in tool:   http://www.jlabaudio.com/burn.php   It might take a couple of seconds for the player to show up at the bottom of the screen.

    Disappointed with Mjolnir

Quote: Yeah, it's strange...I equate appreciating higher end electronics like appreciating finer wines/foods etc.  You know they're better but it might take some time to fully understand why.  Now that I've burned the Mjolnir/Gungnir and seemingly my brain in, it's hard for me to go back to...

    Disappointed with Mjolnir

Thanks for the info Dubstep Girl!    In the end I decided to give the Mjolnir a little more time and am finding that it's now starting to fill out nicely.  As paradoxper mentioned, burning it in using pink noise has done wonders to its overall sound characteristics.  The harshness is...

    Disappointed with Mjolnir

Well...after putting another 25+ hours of burn-in time, I sat down and did some analytical listening.  It does seem to be improving as the bass and treble are tighter than before and I don't notice as much congestion.  One thing I do notice though is the lack of overall depth.  The stage is wide...

    Disappointed with Mjolnir

Quote:   I'm running some Rosewood Rev 2's.  Haven't had a chance to hear any Woo Audio products but they are intriguing.  The WA6SE looks like quite the beast.  I'll look into the BUDA as it would allow me to keep my Toxic Cable.  Thanks!

Quote:   I'm kind of in the same boat...I live in the Toronto area but couldn't find any local stores that carry Schiit's products.  This is a fantastic but awful hobby at the same time!  Wish my stupid ears would stay consistent and stop playing expensive tricks on me;)   Quote...

    Disappointed with Mjolnir

Hi all,   I've recently decided to jump into the world of higher end hi-fi headphones with a wallet draining go big or go home type mentality.  A big thank you to everyone for the pile of fascinating reading over the past few months.  Prior to this I've owned the Denon D2000, Sennheiser...
