Ok...opinions appreciated from anyone who might have experience in this realm. I originally bought a Sabre ES9018 based Conductor SL last summer and it's been a great piece of kit. Earlier this year I found a decent deal on a used WA2 and absolutely fell in love with the Woo sound running off an Aune T1. Soon after I had my Burson modified to accommodate DAC out instead of purchasing a new DAC and it proved to be a great pairing with the WA2.
Now I'm sitting here overthinking things wondering if I'm missing anything by not purchasing a higher end standalone DAC. I'm thinking I would sell the Burson and look at the used market for something like a NAD M51. Would this be worthwhile improvement in anyone's opinion or am I just chasing the hi-fi dragon? I use the WA2 99.9% of the time and would not miss the amp section in the Burson.
My home rig phones:
HD800
LCD3F
Thanks!
