REVIEW: Lawton Audio (formerly "markl Mods") modded MD5000 DE (Deluxe Ed) vs APS V2 cable D2000 (no internal or pad mods)

im616 or d-jays?
If you don't ever intend on using the d-JAYS while on the move, then the sound quality is absolutely amazing for the price. However, I only listen to IEMs while commuting, and I found its durability (particularly for the cable) to be absolutely abysmal. I've had two d-JAYS lose sound on the left...- kazaam

hotaudio40 's amps
I'm split on grabbing the HotUSB1. I plan to pass it through to my other amplifier, but will having to use the 1/8" as the output degrade the sound rather than having the typical RCA/optical outs found on DACs?- kazaam

Fixing Shure e2c cold weather damage
So, is the UM1's cable that much more better than other similar priced IEM's cables? I have the exact same cracking on my E2Cs that I've owned for a little over a year now. Not only that, but I'm on my third extension cable for my pair of d-JAYS (which I've owned since ~December), and I've...- kazaam

What new IEM's/Canalphones?
Aside from some durability issues (that was promptly handled with their great customer service), I love my d-JAYS. You should give them a shot, they're definitely worth the money... it's just a shame that more Head-Fi'ers haven't tried them yet.- kazaam

D-Jays from sweden anyone?
I pretty much share sbulack's sentiment towards these IEMs, but would like to add something else: if you're looking for isolation, you're not going to get any with the sleeves they provide. I had to spend a little extra to purchase Etymotic bi-flanges, which work like a charm on the d-JAYS.- kazaam

~$100 IEMs for rock/metal?
I feel that the d-JAYS definitely exceed the e2c in terms of sound quality, but if isolation's very important for you, these may not be for you -- I can block very little sound off with these compared to the e2c.- kazaam

What about the D-Jays iem...
Hate to bring this back, but has anyone (from North America) received their IEMs yet? I have yet to even receive a shipping confirmation, and now their site directs to another one of Jen's business endeavors...- kazaam

For Rock Music: HD595 vs MS-1
I used to own the MS-1 and now have the HD-595. Rock music is definitely more "fun" to listen to on the MS-1's.- kazaam

What about the D-Jays iem...
For the others that have ordered: is your order number in the 47000's? I ordered three hours after receiving the email that they were in stock, and found it peculiar that my order # was in such a high number-range.- kazaam

Sennheiser HD595 Impressions Thread
I'm loving these headphones so far, I can listen to them for some long periods of time without feeling fatigue! Question to all other 595 users: do any of you use crossfeed plugins? I know the E.A.R. technology does this, but I was wondering if it'd be worth using a plugin as well (this one...- kazaam

On third thought (if you include my edit), I think it's the preset custom UI that was causing the slowdown...which is weird, because it wasn't doing so earlier.- kazaam

Graphical Chaintech AV-710 setup guide
So, I just realized that I should've been using the alt-out instead of the line-out on this card after having it for two months. I got kernel streaming working on Foobar, but it (or more specifically, upsampling to 96kHz) slows my computer down to a crawl. Is there a huge difference between...- kazaam

Shure in Canada?
Sorry, but I found eBay to be the hands down cheapest source when I was looking to buy the E2c. On the other hand, if you're willing to buy used, you could probably get it *even* cheaper on the Buy/Trade forums here.- kazaam

What headphones do you have, and what do you still want?
Have: Alessandro MS-1 Shure e2c Want: Sennheiser HD-595 I'm tempted to sell off the MS-1's to get the 595, but I'm lacking feedback here and don't want to go through the trouble of setting up an auction via eBay.- kazaam

K601 Review to come
I'm torn between these cans and the HD-595; have any of you tried both of them? I've also read in this thread (or another) that the K601's are highly unforgiving to low bitrate mp3s -- is it as bad when it comes to something like 192kbps?- kazaam
