Best? Full sized Headphones under $500
I definitely recommend getting alteast a dac if youre going to be using a laptop as a source I didn't realise the sound quality i was missing out on until i bought a dac to use with my laptop (Fiio e07k) - costs around $100 but definitely worth it in my experience- ACDragun

100 to 140 dollar pair of Movie/TV/Game/Anime headphones? WON'T BE LISTENING TO MUSIC WITH THESE, AT ALL.
I use my razer megalodon for all of the things you listed but mostly for gaming and anime So I'd recommend the megalodon- ACDragun

My girlfriend wants customs. We are in Australia. Budget is $1000. She likes bass.
http://acustoms.com.au/home/aurisonics/ You could try these, theyre made for stage use so theres more bass than usual however theyre $500 which is more on the cheap side (not that its a real issue)- ACDragun

Advice on picking a $250ish set of cans
The akg k550 were my first good headphone and im pretty happy with them I use them for classical music, edm and gaming but I dont listen to symphonic metal Theyre also pretty sturdy given that they are made mostly of metal and have survived my rough handling I have a fiio e07k and the k550...- ACDragun

new to the portable headphone scene, need help
Well the e07k is both an amp and a Dac combined. What android phone do you have? If your phone isn't compatible with an external Dac then go for the e11 But if it is then the e07k would be a better choice You will also need to buy an otg cable for the e07k, I got mine from eBay for $3- ACDragun

Hey, looking for some good all-rounder headphones (under 250)
I think the hd 580 would be a better choice but that's purely based on what I've read since I don't actually own the hd 580- ACDragun

Hey, looking for some good all-rounder headphones (under 250)
I think the senneheiser hd598 would be a good option I find that they are not very bass-light (probably not entirely accurate coming from a k702 owner), and probably have some of the best clarity, transparency and soundstage in the price range.- ACDragun

new to the portable headphone scene, need help
The Fiio e11 is a good choice however since youre using a android phone, have you considered buying a amp/dac? Ive found that it helps the sound quality quite a bit. I think you should consider the e07k, unless youre just looking for an amp then the fiio e11 would be a good choice.- ACDragun

Headphone $250 - Upgrading from HD202
I moved from the hd202 to the akg k550 and sennheiser hd598. I love to listen to female vocals too, and the hd598 really excels at that. The amperiors/hd25 should also be considered as I find them to be good for vocals and have good separation.- ACDragun

Creative Aurvana Live! vs Sennheiser Amperior
I can't comment on the Creative Aurvana Live, however I've been using the Amperiors and based on my experiences the Amperiors have good bass for rap/hip hop and edm. The mids are forward but the highs seem to be a bit recessed. The Amperiors might be uncomfortable due to the clamping force and...- ACDragun
