Consider getting the custom tips? they allow the ASG-1s to be put slightly farther out from the ear, so only the bottom edge of it will sit on your actual ear, the rest is held up by the custom sleeve and the ear hook. All sense of discomfort is gone now, definitely a worthwhile consideration...
