Maybe this has already been mentioned, but I stumbled across these wireless headphones from monoprice with very similar specs to the 8320 http://www.monoprice.com/Product?p_id=15274&utm_source=criteo&utm_medium=retargetting&utm_content=300x250&utm_campaign=q2_2016_test   Did they just rehouse...

Image S4, 9396, 8320 shootout   Just got my new 9396 in the mail today. I must say, they are impressive for the money. The bass is a little heavy for my liking, by a few hairs, but very decent and compact IEM. That said, the clarity does not compare to the other two. The S4 is much more...

Quote: would you recommend i buy a pair of 9396 or white 8320s? ive been using the regular 8320s on the go, and they arent exactly friendly when it comes to movement. easily tangled and cord noise galore. they also dont isolate as well as i like, because deep insertion is tricky. i was...

The short answer, no. They are more along the lines of your regular bass heavy earbuds. V shaped sound signature Sent from my Galaxy S Relay

Quote: you are really steering me hard towards the 9396... debating on whether i should get a pair of white 8320s or the 9396. the regular 8320 with cloth cord are driving me up the wall with cord noise. and the fitment isnt amazing

Can you review the Monoprice 9396? Wondering how they stack up to the value king 8320s... Especially considering they should be much easier to fit   Looking to get another pair of headphones from monoprice, but i'm not sure if should get the white 8320s or the 9396

Would it help with fitment if the blade where the cord comes out of the earpiece was cut off? I'm anticipating that might ruin the acoustics of the earpiece. Especially if you don't seal it right I'm looking at the teardowns, and it doesn't seem like the blade serves any real purpose other...

I guess it's more durable. But the amount of cord noise you get with cloth cords is just way too much and not worth the trouble, unless you're sitting or not moving when using these... Sent from my Galaxy S Relay

Interesting thoughts on the filters. I will try listening without them when I get a chance. They do however do a good job of keeping dust and earwax out of the housing. It would be a nightmare to keep these clean without them Sent from my Captivate Glide

The stock tips are actually not that bad. They are designed specifically for the headphones, with larger openings for the nozzles. I don't think monoprice ever intended for these things to be inserted deeply. Rather they were designed to sit right outside the ear canal. In that case, the larger...

I am quite jealous that the white ones came out... They have a better finish and better cord. Kinda itching to get a pair, even though the silver ones I bought have been serving me well for a few months now. Can anyone confirm if the white/pink model with the rubber cord are less tangle...

Greatly. Although it will take some time to get used to. I was suffering from mid ear impactions when inserting deeply with a bi-flange for a couple weeks, so I would dread to think what tri-flanges would do... not sure why, it stopped hurting after a while. I'm thinking about getting checked...

Are there any mods to make them less tangle prone? I'm seriously considering buying a pair of mini magnets and glueing them on the back so at least the earpieces don't get caught on the cord as much (zune headphones had that great feature; wish more companies used that idea) I use headphones...

Stop derailing the thread lol. However, I will mention that the brand new 9980s, after quite a few delays are now available, if anyone wants to take the plunge. Considering the great hassle free return policy, I'm considering getting myself a pair. It looks like monoprice is refreshing their...

Even though they are the same size, I have a sneaking suspicion the black ones may be more comfortable due their finish. And the white ones will be the best, due to finish and (looks like) plastic wrapped cord. Can anyone comment that has both pairs? Sent from my SGH-I927 using Tapatalk 2
