Would it help with fitment if the blade where the cord comes out of the earpiece was cut off? I'm anticipating that might ruin the acoustics of the earpiece. Especially if you don't seal it right
I'm looking at the teardowns, and it doesn't seem like the blade serves any real purpose other than an outlet for the cord...

If it was cut off, and you sealed it up properly and rounded it out, it would just be a regular round IEM that's somewhat larger than most.

i totally agree..  i bought a 10 packs of mmix from westone that cost around 12 bux,,,  with each pack i could ake one pair of large earmmolds,,, or 2 pairs of mediums or 4 pairs of sall tips...

for an extra 6 or 8 bux i bought a pack of 50 ear canal dams..

LARGE

MEDIUMS

SMALL

the small ones  can be used as tips for your other universals

for the over the ear guides...

Just have to say, these earbuds aren't the finest looking to begin with, but the last thing I would want sticking out of my ear walking down the street is flash-colored goo...

I would think that using the sealing material would be for home listening only - if you were to go out in the crowd, most folks would think you had an awful ear infection. Yech.

My response was a bit tongue in cheek - but I would have to say going out with white blobs in your ears would have to be considered the pendulum swinging to the opposite end of someone who bought Beats because they look "cool"

I was trying to figure out how to make the housing smaller. some step would be open and trim the housing, figure out how to mount the cable, and replace the lid with something smaller. I was already trim the housing but messed up when remove the yellow glue where a wire supposed through.....I still have one pair for daily use but that's no for mod. I'll need to wait for another pair to arrive..
