If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
EtyDave Can I get an ER-4P cable replaced with an ER-4S one. I acquired a set of ER-4P's with a fraying cable and would like to send it in. I saw this was mentioned a bit earlier in this thread but never saw any confirmation.- astone

REVIEW: Vivo Xplay 3S + XE800 Mobile audio perfection
An easy way to tell if they are fake is by looking at the vent hole size as well as the L/R font. The original ones have very small vent holes, and the font is a lot clearer for the L/R. These are 100% fake.- astone

Chinese / Asian Brand IEM Info Thread
Just got my KZ Zst's in the mail. I am actually very impressed with them. I actually like them more than my VSonic GR07. The mids seem more present, the bass seems a little more boomy, but the highs sound amazing. Of course they do not compare with my Etymotic Er4's, but they are something for...- astone

I'd say that the soundstage is superior to the monks. The isolation factor of these definitely helps with instrument separation and overall dynamics on the low end. The only thing I'd be careful with is making sure you acquired legitimate Xe800's from the vendor.- astone

It's all dependent on the tips used. I'd say if you get a good seal it has pretty solid isolation. These use the VSonic 11mm Biocellulose driver found in the GR07. It's tuned a bit differently though.- astone

The Monoprice MP9927 PG 208.. MP8320 (MEP-933)..The $7.11 club..
Yeah, I'm quite interested in knowing this as well. The driver specs indicate that they're the same size (14.2mm) as the 8320.- astone

I'd recommend the Vivo XE800, I own both the VE Monks and these. Both are pretty neutral in fr response. I'd say the XE800 has better imaging, separation, bass response and pretty much everything else.- astone

REVIEW: Vivo Xplay 3S + XE800 Mobile audio perfection
These seem to sound better than my GR07 classic edition. The mids seem less recessed and the bass is less boomy. Overall I am super impressed for $16. The cable is the only thing that seems cheap on these. These are definitely the best IEMs in existence for this price.- astone

VSONIC GR07 Classic Color 2014 Edition: Unboxing and first impressions
Depends on how loud you listen to music. Personally, I barely notice it, and I still have perfect hearing up into the 20khz range. If you listen at higher volumes it is definitely going to be more noticable. The VSD1 from what I remember had absolutely no sibilance, and the VSD3S has a bit more...- astone

VSONIC GR07 Classic Color 2014 Edition: Unboxing and first impressions
Lol, all mids you say.. I'm sure they have more than just mids. Also, that's pretty absurd to spend that much on IEMs. For that price I could get a sick pair of cans.- astone

VSONIC GR07 Classic Color 2014 Edition: Unboxing and first impressions
Thanks man, I appreciate the advice. I've noticed some subtle differences after around 50 hours of burn-in. Mids seem to be getting a bit clearer and less muddy overall. Not sure if I'm just getting used to the sound of these as time goes on lol.- astone

VSONIC GR07 Classic Color 2014 Edition: Unboxing and first impressions
I just got my GR07 Classic edition in the mail, I find that they sound good overall besides the mid range. I find the mid range to be too recessed, do you guys have any recommendations on how to eq these to bring out the optimal sound? I have tried a various combinations of tips and can...- astone

Have any of you guys heard the Vivo XE800? It uses the same Biocellulose Driver in the Gr07 and literally goes for $16 on AliExpress. If so, what are your opinions compared to the Gr07?- astone

VSonic VSD5 Impressions Thread. VSonic's answer to Sony's EX1000???
Would you say the GR07 have less sibilance? I listened to a friend's VSD5S and I noticed sibilance specifically on songs with vocals that make the S, Sh or Ch sound. In instrumental music it was negligible. They sounded quite decent with Progressive Rock/Metal and Math Rock. I actually really...- astone

VSonic VSD5 Impressions Thread. VSonic's answer to Sony's EX1000???
Thanks for assurance, I noticed you mentioned trying the GR07 spin-tips on the VSD5. I assume you own both? If so, what's your opinion on the GR07 and VSD5 in terms of accuracy and imaging. These are the first "good" IEMs I've ever purchased. I mainly listen to headphones such as the Grado SR 80...- astone

VSonic VSD5 Impressions Thread. VSonic's answer to Sony's EX1000???
Ended up getting the GR07 due to issues I read in the forum about various VSD5S's losing audio through either left/right channel. Also, saw that various people seemed to say the GR07 has a more of a "reference" sound. Hope I made the right choice.- astone

VSonic VSD5 Impressions Thread. VSonic's answer to Sony's EX1000???
Hey guys, I'm trying to decide between the VSD5S and the Gr07 classic edition. If anyone could provide any insight between the two I'd greatly appreciate it. I've not been able to find any could comparisons. By the way, I'm looking for a more flat analytical sound.- astone

Review by 'astone' on item 'Sony MDR-EX210B'
Good headphones for the price. Sound like the sound magic e10 with slightly more bass and more distant sound stage with muddier treble. Cord seems flimsy, but all in all decent sound reproduction for the price. Sounds good with rock, classical, and edm. Slightly bass heavy for my liking- astone
