Would that do anything for/to other headphones?  For example, the ATH-M50.  I would like to know if that cable is going to be worth the Amp I'll have to build/buy for it.

Yeah, he suggested a lineout adapter, or "dock".  FiiO sells a basic one for a lot less than that one.  That's serious high end stuff there.    Quote:
