Sony MDR-EX600: Impressions Thread
Would that do anything for/to other headphones? For example, the ATH-M50. I would like to know if that cable is going to be worth the Amp I'll have to build/buy for it.- jbaranski

Sony MDR-EX600: Impressions Thread
Alright so I almost bought the ex1000 when it was on sale for 300 and some dollars...but I didn't. I did, however, buy another pair of ex600s because I did ruin my last pair in the wash. Hopefully I can salvage the cable though, It'd be good to at least have a backup cable.- jbaranski

So I'm In the Market For An HDTV
Okay, I figured that's what you meant, but the way I read what you wrote, it sounded like you were in favor of them, so I wasn't sure, as I know them to be crap. At any rate, I'm probably going with a name brand 32" 1080p, which I can find for under $400. It just depends on when I have the...- jbaranski

So I'm In the Market For An HDTV
So would it support 1920x1080 output from my PC's HDMI out? That's why I'm going with 1080p. Also, I'm a fan of high pixel density (my iPod Touch 4g is downright sexy). I know I won't be THAT close, but there will be many times where I'm not more than two feet from it. Also, what's a...- jbaranski

DISCLAIMER: DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME. (Also, I am not responsible for your stupid actions, because if you did what I'm about to describe, you would be stupid.) Okay! So, I've discovered how to simultaneously give myself a minor heart attack and mellow out the EX600 a bit at the SAME...- jbaranski

So I'm In the Market For An HDTV
And I'm not sure which to get. I'm liking what LG has to offer, and I Like the Vizio with Internet Apps, but I just can't be sure about the most important things, like picture quality, without asking trusted sources. So what do I do? Go to an audio forum. xD Anyway, if you'd oblige me...- jbaranski

IEMs that will best fit me for under $25?
I don't know how much this will help, but I've been told that this pair is great for its price and can compete with headphones above its price range, but I cannot give you more than that. http://goo.gl/ND7Z1 They're $8.99 on Amazon, and I'm thinking of buying a pair as an emergency...- jbaranski

Sony MDR-EX600: Impressions Thread
I just got my pair in the mail, listened to them non-stop for the past 30 minutes. :) So far, they're amazing for their size. However, I'm a bit spoiled by listening through my M50s almost exclusively so the quality of the sound isn't blowing me away, but I'm not one to freak out anyway. You...- jbaranski

I Need A Good Place to Buy Cables (Ideas?)
Quote: Perhaps I will do that in about 3 weeks when the ban on creating a listing has been lifted off of me. Yay for being new to Head-Fi! -
I Need A Good Place to Buy Cables (Ideas?)
I actually want something closer to 3in. The problem is the ones i saw at Amazon get mixed reviews. -
I Need A Good Place to Buy Cables (Ideas?)
The title says most of what I want. I just want a website that's good for buying cables. For instance, I'm looking for a short iPod cable, since the long cable is an inconvenience when on the go and I need to charge it up with my external battery. I already know about monoprice for...- jbaranski

Sony MDR-EX600: Impressions Thread
Yeah, there's no reason for a $130 pair of headphones (at least that's what Amazon sells em for right now) needs a $300 cable, but hey, perhaps the EX1000 owners would want one. Amazing that they cost so much money though. I like my audio to sound good, but I have a few better ways to...- jbaranski

Sure We Have Equipment, But How About What We Keep It In?
I'm definitely guilty of a messy and overly complicated setup for my many devices, my pc, two monitors, 5.1 speakers, tv, dvd player, cable box, ps2, ps3, xbox 360, n64, and various other cables, fans, lights, blah blah blah. Point is, it's all a mess and I need a better way to organize! ...- jbaranski

Hifiman RE262 Initial Impressions
Quote: Hm, well, I was looking at the E11 amp, so it would work well with the ZO? (assuming i can get my hands on one) I guess I'll probably have to buy the 600s soon. Just have to wait a few days until pay day. :D I was going to have to save up some more so I could buy the...- jbaranski

New to High(ish)-end Audio, Need Suggestions
Thanks for the links, I've bookmarked them for future reference, but you are correct, I don't really need them now. By the way...it says it can handle 300 ohms. There's no trick to that, correct? Because I just found a pair of IEMs that use 150 ohms. Oh how exciting, haha. ...- jbaranski

New to High(ish)-end Audio, Need Suggestions
I would love to see an LOD that could extract the signal, and I take it you don't know of one, or you probably would have mentioned it. Either way, I've heard great things about using an amp, so that's what I'll be doing. I guess I probably could have just bought it and not worried too much...- jbaranski

Yeah, he suggested a lineout adapter, or "dock". FiiO sells a basic one for a lot less than that one. That's serious high end stuff there. Quote:- jbaranski
