Count me out of this "basshead" club... dt 770 pro should not have been removed from the list.   Beats Pros, Sennheiser HD25II, and Klipsch Image One should NOT be on the list.

If you don't like the Ultrasones, I'd definitely recommend trying out the DT770 Pros.

Arggg, if you must waste your money on crap... get the pros. I haven't heard the detox but I'm guessing it'd be the same ish. 

I finally showed up to my statistics class (after weeks of skipping it) since there was going to be a quick overview of the test coming up and I spotted M50s and K518s. I was surprised these freshmen/sophomores have them. Everyone around campus either has Beats or iBuds. 

I loled so hard when I saw there were two 5/5 reviews for a pos that's not even out yet.

May not be a preferable genre for some but the bass is sure enjoyable.

Count me in with my DT 770 Pro.   

If I remember the sound signature from both headphones correctly, I believe the Aviator had a wider soundstage than the M50... making it better for acoustic and rock genres. Your best bet is to demo them and see which you like from your ears. First hand experience beats second hand every time. 

I heard both of these headphones. I had to say that the Aviators had better bass impact than the M50s. Both are decent headphones and would be a good buy if you find some under $150. 

Definitely get your money back. Are you looking for portable headphones? If not, take a look at Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80, Ultrasone HFI 580, and Denon D2000. All of which can be found cheaper than the Pros and would definitely sound better. However, they are not so portable imo.

^^ I was thinking that too until I checked skullcandy's online store. The normal Aviators sell for $150 a pop. So there's not enough store credit to buy them and the most expensive headphones... which Aviators but a "unique" color scheme that will cost you about $50 more than the normal ones. lol. 

Buy two Aviators... one for yourself and one to sell. Those have pretty good sound quality but i'm not sure how how long they last. Most skullcandies tend to fall apart after some usage. 

I haven't heard the Sennheiser, but I like the sound signature of the DT 770 Pro more compared to the M50s. The beyers do a good job with electro, hip hop, and rock imo. But neither of those headphones are what I call portable. Again not sure about the Sennheiser, but the beyers benefit more...
