Considering doing the fuzzor mod for the 6se's. Reading through the past few pages, it seems like it may not be necessary? Does anyone have any comments on whether the changes are positive? I found that they were great on my 500's but not sure if that would be the case for the 6se's as well.

I've heard all. Primavera >>> AIC-10>= Envy. If cost was no option, I'd get a Primavera for sure. It's pretty much as perfect as an amp as you can hope to get.

If you can swing it, just apply a low bass shelf via eq. The susvara respond extremely well to eq. When I'm feeling like more bass, I add a 5db low shelf and there's no distortion that I can perceive.

Awesome that you're enjoying the Susvaras. They are truly one of the, if not the, best all rounder headphones that you can get. With regard to 1: The stock pads are best. If you absolutely must get aftermarket pads, you can get the Dekoni hybrid fenestrated pads and they should be pretty good...

No, I've had one with driver failure. The other had an internally bent connector. I'm waiting on my third replacement. The susvara I had before ran on all my gear for years without issue so it's not a DC offset issue

Hello! I just wanted to check into this thread because I was curious about alternatives to the MELZ 1578 (Sadly, one mine died yesterday). If it exists, I'm basically looking for the most detailed sounding 6SN7 that still retains some mid/low end warmth.

Due to some awful luck, one of my melz tubes have died so I am looking for either a single replacement 1578 from the late 1970's. Otherwise, I'm also open to purchasing a matched pair.
