Android phones and USB DACs
Hi all, I have not read the 260 pages of this thread, so maybe I won't bring anything new... but just in case, I found an app on Google Play called USB Audio player (from extream soft dev) that can play audio files on an external DAC even if your device doesn't have external DAC support...- jy p

Fiio E17 keeps crashing my Windows 8 laptop
I also have the crashes on my desktop running Windows 8 ultimate 64 bits . I'll try a few things and I'll get back if anything seems to work. I never had crashes before on that computer and It is now crashing every time I am using the e17 for more than an hour. It's really enjoying. I hope FIIO...- jy p

Custom Remold or New IEMS?
I got the impression done at a renowned audiologist in Toronto. And the remold was not made by JH... But if you check in the "headphones for sell" forum, you will see that there seems to be many people not happy with their custom monitor... Even from JH...- jy p

Fisher Hearing Remolds -- A Very Frustrating and Costly Experience!
I have done it... I will certainly not do it again. They sent me back to get ears impression twice. They remolded my TF10 about 6 or 7 times. Even after that, the fit was just "ok" and the sound was not equal on each side but I gave up sending them back again. The bass sounded much better...- jy p

Top Tier Earphone Comparison - TF10, IE8, UM3X, SE530, OK1
The more I read the more confuse I get. It clearly seems to be a personal preference and personal perception when you reach that level of IEMs. I do have some of those and, as many other head-fiers, share some points with you but also disagree on other point. But anyway, having more...- jy p

Westone UM3x Review + Comparisons.
I just want to add, for those who look at my comment talking about using the Etys triple flanges in the UM3X... I just realized that I was in fact using none Etys triple flanges. The ones I have, bought on eBay, are not genuin and have a smaller canal which fit better on the UM3X stem. The...- jy p

Westone UM3x Review + Comparisons.
I just got my UM3X. It is used and because of this most tips are missing. Only the short and comply are in the box and I am not sure about using comply foam with these IEMs. I am afraid that it is going to cut off to much the highs which are already not as strong as I would have expect coming...- jy p

My TF10 are in remolding process. I'll post pics soon. I'll probably send my UM3X if I am happy with the result. Anyone have a IE-P350 or IE-P450 from InEarz?- jy p

Westone UM3x Review + Comparisons.
Why does everyone use to cut the last flange on the triple flange? I had never tried the triple flange with the UM3X yet, but with the Etys the triple are just the way to go. So would like to understand the difference here if anyone can tell me.- jy p

Scottiebabie! I finally try the Shure olives with another of my ultimate ears IEMs and you are right. I agree that they give a better insulation than all the other tips I have tried. Even more than de Comply... I'll try to resell my unused Comply. As for the reshell... It is not that I...- jy p

Sennheiser IE8's
Interesting to read all that stuff... I have a TF10 already and I am going to get my IE8 next week. I am a little scare since I got mine for 170$ on eBay... But, even if they are fake, if they sound better than my TF10, I'll be really happy since I do like the TF10 very much (my best IEM so far).- jy p
