LG-V10 Hi-Fi audio quality review on serious audio performance
If you have a volume adapter such as the one that comes with the SE535 it will work to trigger high Impedance mode. I had already discussed that earlier with a picture to prove it , but i guess people have missed it.- jblparisi

LG V10 : New ESS Chipped Flagship Android Phone from LG
Here's a tip to trigger Higher Impedance with potentially any set of headphones. I have a set of Shure SE535. So what you do is plug the analog volume adapter that should have came with your SE535 retail package. That will enable higher Impedance mode which can be verified on sound options...- jblparisi

iPod 5 vs iPod 5.5 Generation Sound Quality?
Anyone that has had experience with both the iPod 5 video and 5.5 could share their opinion? I was always under the impression they were mostly identical (including their DAC) with only a few differences(search feature, brighter LCD, etc) I searched the forums and found some contradictory...- jblparisi

Both Microstreamer and Headstreamer confirmed working on stock Galaxy S3 i747 AT&T without the assistance of Audio Recorder Application. Btw Micro > Head Edit: Also Audio GD Sparrow AMP/DAC version "A" works perfect with Audio Recorder app.- jblparisi

Finally, digital out for Galaxy SIII
Thank you for the reply mate! Forgive me for being a noob and asking another dumb question. I do not have a IEM at the moment. What about if i decide to drive my pair of HD650's instead? I see that seller has the option of other impedances beside 75ohm. Regards- jblparisi

Finally, digital out for Galaxy SIII
Quote: I plan on going the same route as you for a portable DAC setup on my S3 international as my Audio GD is not well supported. What is this $10 resistor you are referring to? I'll be sure to grab that too (hopefully from a US seller) as I order the Headstreamer this week. ...- jblparisi

What was your first mp3 player...?
My first true dedicated portable mp3 player was the Diamond Rio 500 if remember correctly. AAA battery powered and a whooping 64MB of storage! I think i may have had the Diamond 300 at one point as well. Brings me alot of good memories from that time, I miss those days.- jblparisi

Quote: Hmm, what do you mean by swapped the cable? What cable did you use after all? As far as I know the brazillian S3 is just a standard i9300. Check under settings, and about info: it should say i9300 for the Exynos based S3. ps: I noticed you are located in Brazil, I...- jblparisi

Should I hear a difference between my old iPhone 3Gs and my Samsung GS3?
North American version should have a "Qualcomm" sticker on top of the device. Under Setttings, About: It will display i9300 for the Quad Core Exynos, I-747 for the US ATT S3 and etc... Of course there are many other ways to distinguish, but those are the two obvious I can think off the top...- jblparisi

Android phones and USB DACs
Quote: Exact behavior as my Audio GD Sparrow. Don't think an unpowered 2.0 Hub will do any good either, someone correct me if I am wrong. Only way I managed to get it to work was after several disconnect connects (with the hub and without it) till it actually worked, it works perfect...- jblparisi

Audio GD Sparrow version A (USB output TE7022 ) CONFIRMED to work when using a 4-Port Targus USB 2.0 unpowered HUB, at last! Previous symptoms before connecting the hub: Faster playback on any player and of course no sound. My setup is the following: I9300 running 4.2.1 Jelly...- jblparisi

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
Interesting, i was able to get it lowered to $335.00 (plus $25.96 in taxes since i am in NY), and also noticed some of the grey paint was missing causing it to expose some black marks on the left side of the frame. Not sure if it just a issue of quality control or maybe they have been already...- jblparisi

Beyerdynamic dt990 32 ohm vs 250 ohm?
If you are going to return it, in my opinion it would make more sense to get the 600Ohms version instead, and i am willing to bet the majority will agree with me. ps: Also first post here! :)- jblparisi
