I have received "something" and works fine! As Robert stated this is 4T and have tube sound.  From outside I cannot tell this is 4G or 4T at all, because everything looks similar (case/switches). Just now found on board layout some difference (below right side screw), as maybe this op amp...

The problem was only similar, but root cause was the charging chip (this is rare). I guess the battery replacement didnot solve :(

Yes, exactly same with my 4G. But also when charging gets very hot...and does not power on at all. I sent back to Robert 2 weeks ago, hope will be back soon.

I am using it with ODAC, also have the DAC Cable. Sound more refined, detailed with the ODAC. btw with Galaxy S3 (Poweramp).

I use Poweramp and sounds good. Also tried XBMC, and was fine too.

The cable is connected internally with the driver and to the crossover circuit. Don't try to pull out...you will damage these.    

As I see it is green Acoustic Damper. Maybe it is from Knowles. I don't know if there is a way to order some, but this guy tested some.

Hi, 2 days ago finished with adding socket ti SM3 v1 and Custom cable for (from Toxic Cable Viper).   I afraid much more about the connector, but was not so comlicated. But because SM3 can just fallen apart, was easier:)

Just finished with new cable for SM3 (v1, yes, v1). Used wire: 26 AWG Pure Stranded Silver Plated 7N Cryo Treated UP - OCC Copper wire.   Sound really great, but need more time to describe...:) Thanks Frank!
